Say, for example, that the immigration papers go through and we're allowed to live in Canada, how long do you have to actually move over there?

For example, I apply today and by some bureaucratic miracle get the immigration papers through by Jan 1st 2011 - when do we need to be living in Canada by? Is there any kind of limit at all?

Many thanks
Rup

I think it is within one year from your medicals but I have also read others say it is within one year from the stamp on your passport. Not sure which one it is.

It is one year from date of medicals as far as I know from various forums and websites

It is surely prior to expiry of your medicals... If you will do medicals in Oct 2010 and Got Visas in Jan 2011, you can land prior to Oct 2011...

Rupert,

Your landing at any POE in Canada will depend on the validity of your visa.

The visa shall be valid till 1 yr from the 'date of your med results', OR the 'Expiry date of your passport', OR the 'Expiry date of any of your accompanying family members' passport'. Whichever is earlier.

Hope that helps.
