Ticking the right boxes on checklist IMM 5533

I know this is a naïve question, but you can never be sure with IRCC. When something on the IMM 5533 checklist doesn’t apply to me and it is one of many options, do I only tick that box (in blue) or do I also tick the main question (in red); I've added two examples below.

Also, when a form is online and there is no place to sign, do you tick the box for signature?
