is that the Ecas we all check online or a different one ? why they used a different name ?

Its an automated program you can sign up for that checks ecas for you and sends you an email when there is an update.

It works perfectly, got two updates since start, and they came as soon as it changed :)

My husband's passport was requested today - he has been accepted as a permanent resident of Canada YAY.....finally!!!! This was an outland applicable via Buffalo - I am Canadian and he is American.
We plan on going to Buffalo next week on Tuesday to "land" personally...... ;D

Yeyyy!! Congrats! How did you received it? Via mail or email?

I wanna fill in the blanks on my application for bonbon's list:

App was received on Mississauga on 23/09

It's been in process since Nov. 4, according to eCAS.

As an update, they requested some documents (police records) on Dec. 22, and I delivered them on Jan 31, still no update of that on eCAS.

Jendrian are you in Mexico or only your application was sent to Mexico ? I got some docs request in December but they didnt asked me for police reports. not sure if they will use the ones on file or they will request them at a later date.

I sent my FBI, California , and the photos and fingerprints for them to request the one in Mexico City since i been living in Canada for almost 3 yrs.

I'm living in Mexico. You only need the police records of any place you've lived for 6 months or more after the age of 18. If they didn't request for a Carta de Antecedentes Registrales (which you can't get without a letter of the embassy requesting them, and going personally to Mexico city or a mexican consulate in Canada) and already took your FBI report, then my guess is you're good to go.
