Hello, we are still awaiting my CSQ, do you know if they use regular mail? will the lock-out might affect the delivery of the CSQ? and do you know how they communicate with the VO about it.

My e-Cas shows now "Application Received" as of June 6, since I deferred the payment of the Right of Permanent Residence Fee (RPRF), I made the payment yesterday and will mail the receipt to Mississauga today and to Buffalo as well.

I guess at this point is just a matter of more patience, hope everyone is doing good today.

They used regular mail last fall, so I would think that the Canada Post situation would affect the timing and that it would take longer right now.

BE CAREFUL! BE CAREFUL!

My deputy investigated and the VO never had received the CSQ from MICC so it was waiting for this to start processing my file. Make sure all your VO have received your CSQ, otherwise you will be waiting and waiting forever. If I had not investigated, I would still be waiting for nothing without knowing what is going on...

Well instead of mailing the Right of Permanent Residence Fee (RPRF) receipt, I decided to fax to both Mississauga and Buffalo, I'm hoping to save some $$, I will check later to see if they were received.

I guess at this point I will have to wait until the whole Canada post mess is over since they will mail my CSQ to my wife once service resume, so at this point there is little we can do.

Processing times for family class CSQ's are:

20 working days for applications who do not require financial evaluation (spouse, conjugal, common-law)
or
40 working days who applications that require financial evalution (parents, grand-parents, etc)

Hi people!

I called the other day at Immigration Quebec. I asked them if there is a way i could get my CSQ since CP is letting us down.. and she told me that when they make a decision they are supposed to send it directly by email to the VO and for us, we need to wait cause we cannot go pick it up since the office now is always closed or, we could pay it by fedex or so (and spend 40$ for nothing..). So she said just wait and when you receive the CSQ i can scan a copy for example and send it again to the VO to be sure they receive it. Remembering that i left it at the office on the 31st of May.. its taking a while and i hope VO receives it quicker than me ;)

Just wanted to share the information!

Hello all, I guess we all are hoping now that Canada Post is resuming their operations, our CSQs and other related paperwork will start moving as well. I emailed the VO in Buffalo in regards of any receipt or notification of my CSQ, but as expected their standard reply was "You case is in processing, cannot provide with a date of completion" however I notice that the reply subject was a number starting with a "F" in another post I read that's your (in this case my) Immigration File #, I haven't received yet any communication (email, letter) from Buffalo as a confirmation that my file is in process, when I use the F number to login in e-cas I can see the same info as the one I see using the client ID we got on the sponsor approval email, mine says the application was received on June 6, is that consider AOR?, and think I read that once they actually start working on your file, in my case I guess when they receive the green light from MICC, the Immigration # or Client ID should change, I believe I read that starts with a "B", so I guess I have to wait a little longer to see more progress.

I'm just hoping that it will be done before the end of this year, in one way I want to have it done because I miss my wife (she is in Quebec now and I'm in NY) but at the same time I want to work a little more to save some $$$, so I'm not in any rush for now, fortunately if everything goes fine I will be able to transfer from my current Office in Brooklyn to our office in Montreal, I know is scary sometimes the uncertainty of changing careers and jobs in this economy and job market, specially those who are not business fluent with the French language.

Best of luck to everyone and God Bless, I will post as I see more progress.

I'm curious to find out about everyone else's CSQ application timelines.

MICC website states 20 working days for applications that do not require financial evaluation (spouses, common-law, etc)

Anyway, here's my timeline so far..

20-Jun-2011 Application mailed (via FedEx)
21-Jun-2011 Application filed at MICC
waiting CSQ approved
waiting CSQ received

Would anyone else like to share their timeline or experience?

::)

Hello all, I'm getting impatience as stated above it should be 20 working or business days, I sent my request for CSQ and was received on June 3, credit card was charged on June 15 and as of yesterday my wife has not received my CSQ.

I will wait until Monday before calling and try to find out what's going on, I assumed that maybe because of the postal strike they were backlogged but I've read in other posts that some people have received their CSQ even when it was received after mine.

I paid the RPRF about a month ago and I know it was processed because I can login using the receipt number, still my e-cas shows only "Application received as of June 6".

I know I know we have to be patience, I wish I could buy some, but by not receiving my CSQ I feel everything is being hold up.

I will let everyone know of any updates, have a good day all.

Hi!

I just saw this thread. I just got my passport request (yay!) but I did apply outland through Quebec. It took around 3- 4 weeks for the CSQ to arrive by post.

Funnily enough, my husband got an email from London today regarding his CSQ. The email included his "B" and "F" file number side by side at the top.

They acknowledged receiving his PR application on June 17 and stated the following:

As you are destined to the province of Quebec, we cannot commence processing your application until we receive Quebec Immigration Approval (CSQ/Engagement) We usually receive our visa office copy of the approval from the Quebec Government MICC. To date on your application, we have not received Quebec Immigration Approval, if you have received, the CSQ/Engagement, please forward us a copy of these documents.

I thought it was strange to get an email from London so soon! I wouldn't expect them to have received the CSQ yet as MICC only received our forms 2 weeks ago.

However, I'm thankful that we're getting updates when some people aren't getting any at all :D

You can have some of my patience! :p

I completely agree that this extra step is definitely holding up our applications. I wish you all the best and hope you get yours soon!
