Yeah I poked them a couple weeks ago and they sent me the stock "you're in process" email. So we wait...and everyday I kick myself for missing the name on a back of a photo from our original application in October causing us to get knocked into the cursed December time frame and computer system poo.
That is brutal, Jeff. So this is something the principal applicant needs to do?
I fear now that we would have missed that too.

I am still hoping that some of the November and December applicants will see some further movement.

In doing a little analysis not in-depth as I would in my field as an analyst of Sparkle's spreadsheet Buffalo has truly slowed down in getting to PPR there is 1 person from September 1 from October 7 from November and 13 from December that have not yet gotten PPR's

It seems like the average time for buffalo based on the reporting on the sheet in July 5 months with 1 person obtaining in 68 days and 1 person 259 days August 3 months 1 person over 250 days September 3 in 65 days and 4 took 4 to 5 months October 4 1/2 months 1 took 8 months and 1 not yet completed November lowest was 111 days and the highest 161 days others are still waiting for over 7 months Average 4 months December is tricky ranges from 4 months to 7 months and counting. Overall for December they were 18 applicants thats the most I have seen for any month 5 has been completed 2 in 4 months 1 in 5 months 1 in 6 months and 1 in 7 months.

Will take a look at January and February shortly February had quite a number of Applications also

Well just wanted to let you all know about our experience at the Detroit Ambassador bridge.

We did the cross country drive to have hubs come for a "visit" to wait out this process. When we got up to the booth, the girl asked citizenships, the normal questions, when it came to how long he was staying, he answered a few months. We explained that we had the PR application in process, had the paperwork (receipts, sponsorship approval, undertaking and a print out of the E-cas screen from his file) she looked it all over, made a phone call, verified we were married, and then told us to have a good day.

She did ask me what I was bringing back, so I told her the approximate dollar value, and what we had picked up from Duty free. She did not ask whatsoever what he was bringing with him, even though the back of the car was full of totes and stuff. We were well prepared to be sent into secondary with the paperwork and to go through everything, but I guess it was our lucky day that day.

So all in all hubs is here and visiting us for the rest of this visit...heres hoping all goes well and quickly for the rest of this. We have made it to medicals received, so we are checking the emails waiting and waiting for the PPR email....
Thanks for the experience, Stumpedmom. We'll be doing the same thing at the end of September, provided the PPR doesn't come before then. Did you not have any proof of ties to the US, like leases or proof of employment?

Ha! Next time someone goes into Buffalo to do their PPR in person, should ask what the difference between the B and F #s are, lol!
When I got an email back from Buffalo two weeks ago to enquire about if we have a file # yet to send in hubby's birth certificate, we were given both B and F #s.

Thanks for that link Cindy1
The data from 2007 is consistent with what I have been noticing on Sparkle's spread sheet, only a very small number of Applicants was processed in the 3 -5 month window 80% are processed in 7 to 9 months which is consistent with the 2007 figures.

After seeing that I hope that we can be a little patient with the VO's most of our December group is approaching or we are at the 7 month period.

In the initial application you need to send photos and the instructions state to "write the name of the applicant on the back of ONE photo". We neglected to do so and as a result the package was returned to us. We fixed it the day we got the package back and over nighted it but it then sat there for a month at the back of the line again.

So, clearly, our fault for the omission and I can accept that.

But when they ask for payment of fees in May (despite them being paid back in September) you HOPE you're about to be done :p

I think it was palamr that bumped them after the same email and they got a PPR. Bup didn't work for us unfortunately :D
Can anyone verify or deny that not doing this would hold one's application up if it there is only one person (ie: spouse, nobody else's photos included) who is applying?

Did they ask your husband for the evidence of a job back home, leasing, mortgage, or any ties? I am about to decide if i should travel to Canada again with our canadian baby to wait for the final of the immigration process....but for now i'm a home stay mom and i'm living with my sister...
They asked what he did for a living but that's it. Once we showed her the paperwork, she did call someone, (assuming the supervisor) and then asked us if we were married, went back to the phone and when she was done, handed the paperwork back and told us to have a nice day.

Even though the back seat of his car was full...totes, boxes and stuff, they didn't even ask us about what he was bringing with him either....

Nothing just the sponsorship approval, the fee receipts, the undertaking, the email from Buffalo that we were in process and the screen shot of E-cas that has where we are in the process....as I said to Morena all the officer asked for was what he did for a living. I had so much ready for them at the border including the list of stuff that he had brought with him, they were more concerned about what I was bringing back and what we got at duty free. She did ask if he had a job offer, to which he replied no, I can't work until the PR process is done and I have my visa and SIN.....I was reallly shocked myself how easy it was for us....

We forgot to do this for my husband's application and it was processed without any issues. However I have no way of knowing if my particular IO decided to be nice and let this error slip - or if this is a general policy and all IOs would do the same. So I think the short answer is that no one call tell you for certain.

We have all our documents sent to Buffalo, but have moved to Canada already. Address was updated as of June 24th per email, but nothing new on ECAS. We started this process in 2007 but had some issues and got denied. Got it overturned in December of 2010 and all new info that was requested, IMM0008, new background, medical and fees paid as of April/May of 2011. How long should it take from here and should I be concerned at all? Thanks for any help.

Did anyone else who is still waiting for PPR receive news that their file had been transferred to NY? If so, does anyone know how to get in contact with the IOs there?
