Guys, please update me once you hear any news from Buffalo.

Wow...I was just looking, they sent the AOR to November people, about a month ago....and nothing for December yet !! What are they doing for the last 1 month?? I really hope they have different departments or officers for different stages !!

August 13: They requested additional docs
August 2: Meds done
October 12: Docs sent
October 18: Decision done, file transferred to buffalo
Nov 8: Buffalo started process
Jan 3: Letter interview needed
Jan 5: CAIPS ordered

How come no weekly update to the processing time, CIC usually does it on Wednesdays.....is it probably because of the Family Day?

Buffalo - Toronto: Updates were made today - usually updates are made on Tuesdays (I used to see updates being made on Thursday's if they weren't done on Tuesday's)

They update when they want usually.. the update on e-cas to say i was approved to sponsor my wife was done on a sunday.

Hey everyone!
So after reading this discussion forum for the last couple of months I have finally decided to join it! I've found it very interesting and quite helpful as I too am in the process of sponsoring my husband to come to Canada and we are going through the Buffalo office.

We sent in our application to Missassauga in December and I found out I was approved to sponsor him on January 11th 2011. Now we are anxiously awaiting to hear from Buffalo like everyone else here is....hopefully it will be any day now!

Anyway, just wanted to say hi and that I have been really been enjoying reading all of your posts!! talk again soon.

It's been almost two months since we received a letter saying that an interview is needed. two days ago we sent an email asking about our application status and we got a reply within 24h. Interview not scheduled yet. that is not good news but at least for the next few days I will not have to run after work to check the mail box because there will be nothing.
Meanwhile, I am very happy for all those of you who got good news and wishing all the others good luck!!!!!!!

Hi Ines, thanks for the update. We are actually thinking of sending them an email to check on the interview schedule. Did you send them a general inquiry or case specific inquiry?

Hey everyone - GOOD NEWS

Received a letter from Buffalo today [letter dated Feb. 18th/post dated Feb. 22nd] saying the following [in brief]:

Initial assessment complete; expect to finalize your application without a personal interview. [They better not toy with me and say an interview is needed later on down the road]
No additional documents are required at this time. [I better not receive anything later on syaing additional documents are needed because I know I sent in all required documents!]
We have received the results of your medical examination [Finally some information on my medical]

Hopefully soon I will get something in regards to getting my visa!! ;D
