Hmmm... rjessome, Baloo, PMM... I assume these guys work for CIC? I've always been curious about their knowledge and massive post counts...

Who would admit that :) - No I don't work for them.

You know what they say about "assume"?

Hmmm, someone would have to be pretty close to CIC to know about transitions with their internal systems... so either an employee of, or perhaps a friend of a friend...

I don't care, obviously. I've always wished there'd be CIC informants on here, shedding some light on what's going on. It's refreshing. :D

Thanks Baloo. I certainly hope some of the transitions are made soon.
I know everyone will appreciate it when it is especially if it is more efficient.

Would you happen to know what offices are already using it?

oh well, no PPR's today. :-[

So Buffalo has broken its 2-week "habit" of issuing PPR's on Mondays (at least to us on this forum). But there's still 4 more days this week to have some more issued. Fingers crossed.

Thanks for your optimism, Tree. I need it. :-\

Exactly I don't think anyone would admit that juicy tidbit on here. They'd be hunted down.

Hello everyone,

Please help me to get rid of this confusion.

It has been now almost 1 year since i applied for Canadian immigration. On February 25th 2011, i was asked for Marriage certificate although a copy of marriage certificate was already on my file according to CAIPS notes. I wasnt sure that whether i was suppose to send the original or the copy of marriage certificate. So what i did i sent them my original marriage certificate and the licence and i also fax them with detail that why i am sending them original marriage certificate. For the safe side i also fax them my marriage certificate. In short i sent them both a copy and original marriage certificate. I was expecting that once they will receive my marriage certificate they will send me PPR.

Unfortunately today i received a envelope from Canadian consulate, it has nothing but my original marriage certificate and the license. I dont know why there is no letter, or anything in it.

Somebody have any idea that how long will it take them to finalize my case or why did they send me back my original certificate. One thing more if that was the only thing they required then why didnt the send me PPR?

Note: My medical was already expired and IO extended the validity of medical for 6 month which is also expired today. Why didnt he/she ask me for redo medical?

huh i am soooo confuse. I dont know what IO is doing with my case.

God please help me.

Hi ibrah1m,

I'm so sorry to hear of your predicament. You're not the only one having this kind of problem, I assure you.

There's not a whole lot you can do, until you find out more. In order to do so, please do the following (all of them):

1. Emaill CIC Buffalo for a case-specific-inquiry. Your case is outside the normal processing times, so it WILL get *some* attention.
Please go to this page: https://dmp-portal.cic.gc.ca/cicemail/intro-eng.aspx?mission=buffalo

2. Send Buffalo a FAX, with the same thing you sent to the case-specific-inquiry.
Their fax number is here: (716) 852-2477

3. Contact your MP (member of parliament) for whatever Province your sponsor lives or you're moving to, and explain the situation.
You can find a list of members of parliament at the following address: http://webinfo.parl.gc.ca/MembersOfParliament/MainMPsCompleteList.aspx?TimePeriod=Current&Language=E

Sit back and wait about a week (or less). If you haven't heard anything in 7 days, repeat all 3 steps. You can contact additional MP's if necessary.

4. If you like, you can also email the Honourable Jason Kenney's office. He is in charge of CIC at the Canadian Government. You may or may not get very far with this route, but it's worth a shot. You can contact his office at Minister@cic.gc.ca

Good luck, and please let us know what you find out.

Pharoh.

Thank you very much for your reply Sir. I have already sent an Email to CiC through specific case inquiry. And for sure i am gona Fax and i will try to contact my MP. Although i have heard its useless to contact MP but i will give a shot.

Gob bless you.

Not necessarily, a lot of people have had success, but then others have not. You might as well give it a shot. As long as your case has been processing for more than 11 months (which yours has), the MP will nudge CIC and give you a better answer than they'd give you directly. It's usually "applicant is in queue for final assessment" or "we screwed up; applicant needs to send us (something", etc. You might just find this route useful, and if one MP isn't willing to help, feel free to try another. Hell, try several, the more you have involved, the more CIC will perhaps figure out what your issue is, and send you on your way. As they say, nobody likes a squeaky wheel!

I got my PPR today! It came in the mail!

Congratulations!!! That's some good news!!

Congrats on the PPR 88mv! So we did get one today, or rather it was sent a few days ago (friday, maybe?). I'm wondering why you got it in the mail rather than via email. It seems most people get emails. I wonder how they decide that - whether to mail or email. Bah, it's probably random.
