Greetings all!

Just found this Forum thru Goggle this week. Great Forum!

My wife and I have sent in my outland PR application the first week of Nov 2010. As I will be living in Quebec, we needed to one additional approval from Immigration Quebec. We sent in the form 13-Dec-2010 and received approval on 11-Jan-2011.

Please add me to the list of people to track, for this group of applicants.

I look forward to waiting out this process with all of you, and giving/receiving support as we all wait for the good news!

I'll let everyone know my progress, as we get it. Talk soon!

Sincerely,

SouthernNewEnglander

Welcome, SouthernNewEnglander!

I see you copied three lines word-for-word from my first post in this thread. I'll take that as a complement that you like my English skills and conversational friendly down-to-earth method of posting

Anyways, it's great to have another Buffalo-er onboard. We're about the only ones who haven't heard anything since approval by Mississagua.

Good luck to you and all of us. Now sit back, and enjoy the wait! :)

Hello everyone! I have some reassuring news for those of us who's application was transfered to Buffalo

I decided to email the Buffalo Office using the Case Enquiry form on Saturday - surprisingly today I received a response back from them! Wasn't expecting a response so quickly.

Anyways...I asked if there was anyway to know if my application was sent to them and currently being worked on since my sponsor received approval a little over 6 weeks. They replied saying the following:

We are currently creating family class applications received December 1, 2010. You will receive a letter of acknowledgement upon creation of your file.

Canadian Consulate General Buffalo
Immigration Section
buffalo-im-enquiry @ international.gc.ca

Hopefully the get to ours soon (Mines was "sent" on December 9th)

Hey DKA,

Do you recall exactly what it was you wrote to them? I'm thinking of emailing them, to see if they're still working on applications from December 1, or if they're now somewhere between December 3-5. I think we should all pester them a couple times a week, to see what kind of generic (albeit somewhat helpful) response we get, so we know exactly where they're at.

Good luck to those still waiting!!

Ok Pharoh - only you now! MzzCanAm and I rec'd our AOR this morning - what's going on with you???

Hello Guys,

Yey! For those who received AOR. Just wondering, does it means that we are in process? No Ecas update yet for me. Also, no snail mails for stickers with barcode.

Or Do we have to wait forever again to be in process????

there's me too for Buffalo. I'm just one day behind Pharoh from when we got our sponsorship letters, so I imagine we'll get the AOR around the same time. I certainly didn't get an email this morning and I even checked spam to make sure.

I have a feeling they do the emails in batches. Hopefully Pharoh and I will be in the next batch. I'll feel much better once I know they have my application.

Oh my god, this is so exciting!! I literally feel nauseous!!

I didn't get an email yet. (I also checked my spam filter). I hope they didn't misspell it. Whatever. I don't care. I know I'm next up for AOR. I hope it's then only a week or so before InProcess, and if everything goes smoothly, PPR in the next two months!!!

CONGRATULATIONS BUFFALO!!!

Welcome to the thread, pinet_juliet! Now we have 5 people from Buffalo (well there was one other person on the list, but I see they never responded again after sending the application, so we don't know what is going on with their file).

I think the "in process" in separate from the AOR. I've seen some people have different dates for AOR and in process. I don't think it should be a long wait though. Just my guess. Hopefully not! I imagine the snail mail will take a little longer to reach you, and that the e-cas is updated in batches, so that may be a little wait too.

Hopefully Pharoh and TreeLover will get theirs by tomorrow for the latest - come on BUF make us all end the week with a smile!

FYI - when I clicked on the link for my email it states the following "Your file has been placed in a queue awaiting assessment. All applications are processed according to the date on which they are received. Once your file has been assessed, you will receive additional information and instructions. We cannot respond to requests for the status of your application until it has been assessed."

So...more waiting again! Hopefully PPR within the next month or so being that I sent every little thing in the first time and paid all fees!

Congrats to all those that have received the AOR!!

i'm waiting for the next step.. colombo office takes forever with EVERYTHING!!

did u guys hear about the quota thing? apparently the offices are faster at the beginning of the year with processing because they don't worry about the "quota" which is the amount of visas that are issued by each office for each category per year. so i think we may have caught a break because all of our applications went into processing during January 2011!

This works out perfectly, too. I ordered my CAIPS notes the other day, so I'll certainly have AOR when they go to check it. When I get my CAIPS note back, it'll tell me what my official bring-forward date is. I'm *hoping* it'll already be InProcess by then, or perhaps PPR! :D

Yeaaaahhhhhh!!! Sooo awesome!!!!!!
