Matthew's e-Cas Tracker is an "automatic" tracking system where you enter your information in once and as soon as the Immigration officer's make a decision and update your information it automatically sends you an email alert versus manually tracking your application status on www.cic.gc.ca. Matthew's e-Cas works for some people but it didn't work for me.

Matthew's e-Cas Tracker: https://ecas.carroll.org.uk/

As the e-Cas tracker doesn't always work for everyone, I've been checking manually. There's nothing there. I tried both my sponsor's information (her maiden name, which is what we used on the application, and her birthdate/place), as well as my own. I'm worried perhaps they've entered something wrong, or perhaps the receipt number is off by one digit or something. It doesn't help you can't see the receipt number when you type it in (which is stupid, it's not like it's a password).

Sigh.

hang in there Pharoh, won't be long now...

Think positive Pharoh!

Pharoh, the e-Cas didn't update for me until two days after they had sent the letter to me. I have read for others that it didn't update until right at the end of the whole process. Frustrating, I know. It is horrible waiting and wondering if anything is wrong. Hang in there.

Thanks for the support and information everyone. I'll keep checking it manually periodically, and waiting for the email.

I know it's not really a big deal. It'll be an approval, and after this, comes the real grueling wait on Buffalo. I guess it's something to be excited about, though.

Meh. I think I'm depressed. :(

Just so you guys know ECAS is really messed up. We withdrew our inland application in August and it still shows as processing. So we have 2 in process according to ECAS. When I inquired they had no idea and told me it sometimes to takes time to update...lol 4 months :)

Just think Pharoh, you have come a long way already. Filling out that application, obtaining all the documents and getting it sent in was a big accomplishment in itself. It won't be too much longer and you will hear about the sponsorship approval. Baby steps in the right direction and you will get there!! Just look forward to your visit with your wife at Christmas and try to keep yourself busy so you aren't constantly thinking about how long the wait is. It is like waiting for a kettle to boil. If you watch it, it takes ages but if you are busy doing something else, it is boiled before you know it. Stupid analogy but thats what popped into my head ;D

i wish my turn is coming soon and finished before christmas vacaton......

I think most people are referring to when they sent it in.
