I would say it's normal. I'm hearing some never see any updates and they have gotten their PR.

Hmmmm well luckiest guy lets hope that's the case for everyone lol :-p

So I have been doing some research and looking at some data from previous months...

So far here's what I have discovered..

The fastest processing times are for Manila, London and Buffallo.

In comparison with the chart on the CIC website with the processing times, the actual time was about half of that on average for most people. For a very few it was faster than that.

Also, all you Buffallo appliants (I know there's a lot of you in here :) ) you should be getting your PPR very very soon and be ready to land in Canada betweeb March-May (Best bet i would say is April).

London on the other hand is a little all over the place. Some landed within 3 months and other around 5-6 month mark.

Anyways, hope this helps ppl and remember this is just a very general analysis and do not put too much weight on it.

Cheers

Melbell - I would jump for joy right about now if you had legit resources to back up what you said about Buffalo applicants!

hehehe... dude i spent the day surfing all the forums from the last few hours and that's what i've come up with... i'm trying to find ppl who have applied thru my visa office and no luck. however i did observe the locations and thought i could let you guys know since i see all the posts that go up on this thread from the buffalo and london ppl.

all the VOs are pretty slow in general.. but the great thing is it looks like most of the cases that go thru with little issues are processed in a pretty short period.,

i wish i could find data like that for my hubby and i! ahhh!

regardless, everything will work out :)

hello evryone
i also filed my sponsorship application in november.we sent our PP to ND on jan 15..no news after tht.nyone who filed in nov got their visa yet?...i heard tht it takes only a month to get PP back..so we are kind of worried...

Welcome Flying. As far as I know, no one here has gotten their visa here...

Guys I have a question that I need to put out there for all of you...

My ecas status does not say "in process".. Just application recieved. I don't know what's going on with our VO. They have requested docs and we sent them in. They also initally took out the Medicals Recieved line a few weeks ago and now its been back since sunday.. Confused ???
Is anyone else in the same boat??

Hey everyone - GOOD NEWS

Received a letter from Buffalo today [letter dated Feb. 18th/post dated Feb. 22nd] saying the following [in brief]:

Initial assessment complete; expect to finalize your application without a personal interview. [They better not toy with me and say an interview is needed later on down the road]
No additional documents are required at this time. [I better not receive anything later on syaing additional documents are needed because I know I sent in all required documents!]
We have received the results of your medical examination [Finally some information on my medical]

Hopefully soon I will get something in regards to getting my visa!! ;D

Good luck to all hope you guys receive something soon!

Yay! Congrats! I totally just shared your post with the December thread... Our Buffalo group hasn't had a single AOR yet, so it gives us some hope.

Congrats to you, and thank you for sharing. :)

quakingaspen: Thanks & no problem! Good luck to you and everyone - hope you all hear something soon. [Oh and by the way...I'm a girl ;)]

melbell_28: LOL you're funny! Thanks for good talks - maybe you should say something postitive again maybe then I'll receive PPR! LOL

pinay_juliet: Thanks - just curious to know how long we have to wait now...

Now would this letter be considered my AOR? Or should I still consider the email I received from Buffalo on January 27th as my AOR?
