Congrats on having your interview waived..police certificates have a validity of 6 months..So CIC needs another one to check your admissibility to Canada..I.E If you have committed any crimes outside Canada..its just a formality nothing to worry about unless you have committed a crime since your last police check!! And if your police check doesn't come back clear then you will have an interview..

I think Police Clearances have validity of 3 months!

Quick question ...the letter u received from CIC as AOR did it have the same date that ecas said it started processing your app, i guess im trying to figure out if they send the letter same/next day???

Any input guys??

but from what i understood.. is that if the visa office gets your police check within the vadility period there is no issue

Hey I could not paste the link here but when you log into the E cas application, below the logout button you could see several links :

The following tables will help you understand the status of your application.

Application to Sponsor a Member of the Family Class Living Outside Canada
Application to Sponsor a Member of the Family Class Living Outside Canada for Sponsors Living in the Province of Quebec
Application for Permanent Residence Outside Canada
Application for Permanent Residence in Canada

Click on Application for Permanent Residence Outside Canada. there you could see what different staus actually mean.

I checked it!

Its strange! they could not have had a decision made for me already? unless there is something seriously wrong n they have rejected my app.?

Cz processing at ND started on 7th July n I saw eCAS update for the very first time on July 13th. It also read - Medical results have been received.

n as per the status table for outside Canada Apps. - Medical Results fall under Decision Made? Its making me nervous!!

I wonder y only my eCAS update also includes Medical Results n no1 else??? :(

Police certificates have a Validity of 6 Months..but CIC wont accept police checks that were applied for longer than 3 months before your PR application is submitted! So if you applied for your police check say 3 1/2 months before you submitted your application CIC will reject the police certificate and request a new one

Oh I see! Thanks for clarifying!

@xyrus - thanks that makes sense, so i should be hearing from them very soon (regardless of the outcome)...they worked on mine last wednesday and im in new delhi as well!

i hope it wat i think it is...

@xyrus - if anything this is GOOD news for u...as an outsider looking in - ur app was not approved because they were not convinced you guys would land there (only 1 reason)....NOW, that done and addressed, they cannot reject for same reason again!

This is a very good sign and i believe your going to hear back very very sooon my friend!!!!! :0

Hey guys, can anyone tell which type of mail do New delhi send, is it a ordinary post which is regsitered and someone at house must recieve it , or it is just an ordinary post and need no recieving signature , or it is courier...???
And on an avg how many days ND takes to send u the letter after opening the case?

Thanking you in advance...

Thanks so much for your positive note!! Feels good! But u know, IO's are known to be unpredictable! Dunno what to expect! So keeping my fingers crossed! Lets hope for the best! Wish u good luck!

My app was received May 3rd and I have still heard nothing. The April 15th people JUST received AOR so it's not going to be for another 2-3 weeks at least.

(X)Police Clearance Certificate/s for: NEW ZEALAND per the enclosed instructions. Note: Original police clearance certificates have a limited validity. You may have previously provided one of the certificates requested above, however you must now comply with the update request and provide a new certificate for your file. This requirement cannot be waived

That's weird - the instructions for NZ say that you write to NZ police authorising them to release your info direct to CIC - there is no police certificate as such. Did you do that already? Would you mind please sharing what the "enclosed instructions" are please?

Thanks, and good luck, try not to worry.... hugs!

@cool_5

Have u recieved anything from ND yet??? when did they start working on ur app (on ecas), thnx!
