Where are you moving to? If it is Ontario, international driver license will allow you to drive here only 90 days from the day you move to here. So if you plan to drive here, you should get a proper license.

If you have driver license from some countries ie. USA, Korea, Japan....etc., you can exchange that driver license to get Ontario license.

If you don't have driving license that can exchange, but you have experience from another country, better to bring a letter of authentication from your embassy, Consulate or High Commissioner's Office representing your jurisdiction to show you have experience. This letter can help shorten the process to get a G license (in Ontario, there are G1, G2 and G for license)

You can check more information at www.drivetest.ca

If you have a US driver's license but you are not US resident will they still exchange your license?

Yes, you can exchange even you're not US citizen. There is some rules in exchanging the license though.

:) you are welcome my dear :)

Hey guys according to THE OFFICIAL MTO DRIVERS HANDBOOK PUBLISHED 05/09

If you are a new resident in Ontario and have a valid drivers licence from another province, state or country, you can use it for 60 days after you move to Ontario.

You think, let the cops stop you.I was told you must change your licence the as soon as you decide you are staying in Canada no mater what province. If you have a Ontario address and are employed in Ontario you must change your lic.I was told this by an OPP when i moved to Ontario from NS.I was driving my car with NS plates on it i toldhim i was going to change soon he said how long have you been in Ontario i told him 30 days he said i should have had them changed already,as soon as i had an Ontario address.

Was able to log onto eCAS with my receipt number today; yaa!

We received your application to sponsor (my wife) on March 31, 2010.

We sent you a letter on April 30, 2010 about the decision on your application. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

Still nothing for me :'(.

Cherlyn--me either. I will let you know when I'm able to log in. I think you should be a few days after me. I have the feeling that we're on the same timeline and delayed compared to everyone else because of the Quebec part. Hang in there! We'll make it!

It 's very hard to be patient when I see other case advance. I really hope that soon we will receive the notification letter, too. I don’t think I will be able to use my receipt# cause I paid in a financial institute and not online.

Are they updating their website every week? I would like to see finally March instead of February.

Decision made, Letter sent and application forwarded to NEW DELHI visa office on: May.3, 2010.

Thanks for the info. Are you referring to the client ID of the sponsor or the primary applicant?
Also, many people will not have a client ID before their sponsorship is approved, correct?
Thanks
AB

Yes
Eight digit Client ID of Sponsor only. Client ID is on the front of PR Card if the sponsor is PR. Otherwise u can check on the Internet by other different options available. Thanks
