I think you should send them email inquiry, our application was received in Mississauga on March 02 and they had approved my sponsorship on March 24.

Keep in mind that every case is different so time line will change depending on complexity of the case.
Good Luck...

Received our AOR letter today with a bunch of bar code stickies for future correspondence - so Buffalo is slow, but not asleep.......
No other instructions yet.......... ;D
Been trying to get on ecas today but it doesn't seem to work - anyone else having problems with it?

you were the one who so waana enjoy staying single, may be somebody told this to delhi embassy *jokes* :-*

you should write them email n physical mail (both) explaining the situation and timeline but keep this in mind they have 6 months to decide your case so they can always take their own sweet time >:(

ND always asks for the passport right away does not mean anything.I think they use your passport to do security checks somehow.Maybe they need to do more inquiries on yours or they have not got the info for yours back yet.

Hey Shikha99
Have u ever travelled outside of India to any other country? If yes then they take more time for background check.

Yeah just because they say 80% are done within 6 months maybe your in the 90% category.Sometimes some checks take longer than others.Depends on where you been how many police cert you have, maybe you have two from two different countries, and sometimes in India a lot of people have the same first and last names and if someone committed a crime and has the same name as you they just make sure its not you lol.

I know these processes are time consuming, mind consuming, patience consuming, you guys are lucky your through ND they are pretty quick.Im through Sao Paulo and they are not to my understanding.
Thank god i have a permanent visa for Brazil.I can go and come as i please.

First, let me congratulate the speed and success those of you who are coming through New Delhi seem to be enjoying.

We were dealt a rough blow personally yesterday as our FBI clearance (which we have been waiting for, for awhile), were returned to us as rejected yesterday, due to poor quality fingerprints. I went today and got another three sets taken, and tomorrow have to arrange postage. I am sad because it feels like this will set us back at least another three months, if not longer, and I am unsure how this will affect our immigration. Not that anyone from Buffalo is seeing any movement anyway.

Discouraging. :(
