No i dont think they would waive one once it is scheduled.Thats ok its just less questions they will ask my wife sent them 3500 emails,2 years of skype,and phone bills for 2 years totalling $8000.00 i think they might be convinced now.

Jeeze iarblue! I guess that just proves that it doesnt matter how prepared you are it all depends who you get in the visa office eh? We didnt have anywhere near that kind of proof so i guess we were very lucky! Fingers crossed this speeds along for you now!

Wow that's a lot of proof!!!! I was too afraid to send in TOO much....but nonetheless, I sent ENOUGH (I think!) ....Do you know why they called you for an interview?

I don't think the purpose we were called in for an interview is to question if we are genuine or not, but it's to clarify that our marriage in the UK did in fact follow all legal requirements (we are both non-nationals or residences of the place, we had to enter with marriage visitor visas) and decided to have our wedding there since we had so many relatives. In the e-mail they sent my husband for an interview, they asked him to bring his passport with the marriage visitor visa, and a copy of mine as well! -- Clearly, they are concerned about it.

Just praying that everything else they need is done - ie, background checks, if anyone has followed, SadGirl's timeline/story has made me so so anxious especially that I'm in such a similar situation as her.

I wonder since his medical's expiry is coming up if they would take his passport to issue a visa on the same day of his interview? Has anyone had this experience?

No they called her for the interview because we did not send in the emails and the skype as i thought i sent a lot already but as soon as they called her for an interview she sent it all in .She had to send it in a fed ex box there was so much lol.

Wow that was an awful lot of documentation you sent.. i sent less than that.. I hope it's enough let just say not hearing any news do now help at all.

Well i dont know thats all i can think about is that we did not send those in so thats why she got called.But then again i looked at the letter and where it has the check marks of what they want her to bring it is only checked passport,they didnt check the box of additional proof,or the box for originals although we sent originals except the passport.
So really i have no idea now what they want her at the interview for.In the letter it also says the interview is also to inform here about Canada...the culture,work,healthcare,etc.So who knows this whole thing is just mind wrecking.
So i just told her no sense in stressing about it, just go to the interview and what happens happens.There is nothing she dont know the answer to about us.

Iar, hopefully if only the passport bit is checked then the interview is just a formality now and it really will just be used to inform your wife instead of the usual!


I'll be landing tomorrow! Getting up at 5am to get to the border for 8:30ish got everything i need and my fingers crossed too!

no news which stresses me a bit since people that have been in process in Buffalo received their PPR

oh well i will just get my anti french canadian theory again

nah seriously it's probably because my part was filled in french and my wife english which confuse the heck out of them

Hi guys,

I just want to give you an update. My wife picked up her passport on July 15th. Now I'm just waiting for the wife to book the flight. Best of luck to everyone who is still waiting. Hope you will get good news sooon.

Yes i know i am so slow ;D

It's just hard for us mainly for my wife, we are bless to see each other on the weekends just 3.5 hours + border wait to go and the same to come back so about 7 to 8 hours of drive per weekend. It is a sacrifice i am taking almost every weekend she comes once in awhile though. I just do not want her to get the strain of traveling too much since she work earlier than i do. It's just very hard to be apart after her cancer last year. I stayed with her from surgery to chemo/radiation treatment. I wish i could still have an eye on her health and make sure everything is alright. Oh well i just have to be patient, i just had to let some things out

Well Dralon i cant imagine its going to be much longer,lets hope and pray.Fingers crossed toes crossed eyes crossed,not for long though they will stay like that.Dont worry im sure soon you will get some idea of where it stands.
My wifes interiew is in three weeks,i would imagine she has no knuckles left.She is well prepared for what ever they throw at her so no worries.She should be here in Sept if the interview goes well.
