Ahhh yeah, some times you get a confirmation letter. I'm not as versed in Inland - sorry :S

i forgot to mention that i sent my application to extend my stay in Canada together with PR app. so i should call and warn them so they would start processing my visa extend at least a month before it expires. it expires at the end of march. maybe they gonna put some record on my ecas cause of this reason.

I had no idea you had to call and warn them. I sent my PR app in December, with the visitor extension for a visa that expired in January. I thought I would be on implied status, because I have not heard anything. I sent both forms in an envelope that was addressed to Permanent Residence Applications and not Temporary Residence Applications. I just thought that since they were both meant to go to Vegreville, they would sort it out there. Anybody else have an idea about this?

i dont think it will be a problem if they open envelope later. because u sent it out on time, just that they open it late, and the process of visa extension takes about 3 months.

i dunno if i HAVE to call them but i will feel much better after talking to them. but as somebody said earlier and as i also read in the guide, its NOT a must anymore to have a legal status for ppl whose applications for PR are in progress, so dont worry.
im just such a person who wants to make everything clear to myself.

I sent mine off today, so very glad to be joining this thread! Now the waiting begins! :P

Happy V-day everyone, a little humour to lighten our loneliness

A man goes to the doctor after feeling ill. The doctor says, "You know, you should have come to see me sooner. Unfortunately you have waited too long and you are going to die this evening." The man is distraught and wonders how he is going to tell his wife. Well, he tells her and she takes it pretty well. "Honey, this is going to be a night that you will always remember," she says. "I am going to treat you like a king." She prepares a scrumptious gourmet dinner with wine, candles-the works.

After dinner she slips away and returns in the most incredible negligee the man has ever seen. She leads him into their bedroom. They make the most passionate love they have ever made. The man is beside himself. Once done, the wife rolls over to go to sleep knowing she kept her promise. Well, the husband is wide awake watching the clock.

He knows that he is doomed. He taps her..."Honey?" he whispers. She rolls over and again proceed to make love. Again when they were done she rolls over and he taps her. She is getting cranky, but under the circumstances she grants her husband's dying wishes. Finally the wife rolls over and begins to snore. Well, the man decides to tap her again. "Honey?" he whispers. She rolls over and yells, "Oh sure! You don't have to get up in the morning!!!"

Just one question: once you send your application whats next. How do you get the number to track your application.

Thank you,

when they approve sponsoring person as a sponsor, they send u a letter, and there is ur ID number. thats about a month after they start processing application. some people track ecas by paycheck number.

Hi

Can anyone tell me from experience that after how many days i can check status of application on eCAS?
I sent sponsorship & PR application few days ago & it is received there as per FedEx.

Do i need to wait a month & then use receipt to login on CAS or i need to wait some letter from CIC?

Regards
