FYI

I called the Call Center Agents today, and I finally got through. The guy was very nice..told me to wait for the letter, and said if it didn't come through in a week, to call them again and they would re-send the letter. He also updated my address that very minute and verbally told me the contents of the letter which was APPROVED and has been forwarded to spouse's visa office.

Saggit19 - when you called the CIC center and spoke to an agent, what information did you have to provide? all i have is the receipt number from my online transaction and i submitted back in mid-January with no e-cas update or letter...panic is starting to set in!

Hey fibud,

I am the Sponsor and I am currently a PR in Canada, I had to provide my Client ID[ it is my 8 digit ID as shown on my PR Card].

Besides the client id, the agent asked me the following:

My Date of Birth
My first and last name
My phone no in Canada
My address in Canada


So try calling with ur PR card 8-digit ID.

I would suggest calling them right now..it's early in the morning and you probably won't have to wait that long.

We sent you a letter on March 2, 2010 about the decision on your application. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.


MY Timeline:

Application Sent: Feb 02
Application Received at CPC-M : Feb 04
Application Processed on : March 02
Online Status Appeared on : March 04

Ours was sent out the same day, but rec'd on the 5th, and I haven't received any confirmation yet - looks like I got stuck behind Haiti.

This timeline is for outland apps... From the looks of your profile, you applied inland. If you sent yours in Feb, you still have about a 5-6 month wait until you hear anything back from CIC.

Yup - I figured that out AFTER I posted - classic! Now I know that the only date that's applicable to inland apps is the Vegreville one.

Dude I suggest don't only believe in timeline mentioned on CIC also rely on prayers you are doing.

Glad to hear some February applications have already had sponsorship approval - the website says they are still working on applications up to 7 January - which is odd as last week it said they were working on applications up to 26th January - I think someone got their month wrong !

I am applying to sponsor my wife outland and applied to go to quebec as that is where I am from.

I know that as per CIC website the process does not show up on Ecas, but will it eventually show there?

If so at what point of the application will I see anything.

Hello gang, nice little update to share, just got the letter today, approved on Feb 26. I sent on Feb 1 so likely there on the 3rd. 10 days to come from CPC-M to Calgary so don't lose faith.
