Good news Quakingaspen...glad your letter finally came through!
 
Thank You everyone for your quick replies! Another couple questions...

Does anyone know how long it takes to get the permanant resident card from the time our application is accepted?

If I wanted to go spend some time with my husband while we are waiting, is it best to fly in and out of the country to show officers proof we are returning home with return ticket?

Me too, i like seeing easily who is in my VO... hes doing a fantastic job!!! If it aint broke dont mess with it! :)

Showing proof ull return home always good idea. I think as far as the length of time theres no guarantees but for VO Buffalo the last update in Oct was it took them 11months for them to complete 80% of the cases. There are for sure cases that are going way faster there.

I already talked to quakingaspen about me helping posting, and I am not taking over his job, but if you guys take it that way I will stop. Was just trying to help as I said in earlier posts I made. Starting to feel hate against me.

I received my letter of approval today and said that the decision was made on January 10th. However, they changed my visa office to Hong Kong. Now I have to apply through MICC for Quebec's part. Happy for all those who got news and keep looking forward to everyone else, hope good news will come to you. Thx quakingaspen for the update!

Noone is hating on you. Just quakingaspen started it all and his updates and table was organized to a way we all liked it, with the ryt amount of updating. However, I must apologize to you for my sarcastic remark leading to this apparent hatefest!!!
 
I am greatfull that quakingaspen started the excelsheet since I would not have had time enough to do it and I like the way how you organized it but since I am alone with my VO I like to compare with the timelines and this is when vietcuties excelsheet comes handy.
If you dont mind and nobody feels offended I would ask for both of this updates?

Hope I did not hurt anybody - I know how much work this is.

Maja22 asked how many of you guys are already staying in Canada with her/his spouse.
I do - just moved from the US to ONT and will most likely extend my visa in a few months. My wife is working and I am now a stay at home Dad - I really enjoy it (for now at least LOL).

How many of you guys do have Canadian driving licences already?
Just wonder since I read that you are only allowed to drive with your foreign one for I think it was 60 days.

You are incorrect when u did my timeline.
The first time i sent my app is was on 10/10/10 & it was rec'd on 12/10/10
The 2nd time i sent it in was on 12/12/10 and it was rec'd on 14/12/10

I dont like how u said sent 12/10/10 and rec'd 14/12/10
They never took THREE MONTHS to process my app. This is what ur timeline applies.

To keep it simple & CORRECT, u can put it sent on 12/12/10 (cuz thats when i did send in a complete app) & u can say it was rec'd on 14/12/10. OR u can leave it how quakingaspen has it!
 
@ Kelyaeq - Congrats on getting your letter! I was wondering when we'd hear from you. :) That's interesting that they changed your Visa office. I wonder if the Beijing office is just busy? Mine is headed to Buffalo as expected.

(And thank you everyone for your good wishes and your support. It is good to know I'm not in this alone! And trying to explain to people why I'm excited is difficult, because they don't understand the process or why this is good. But you guys do understand!)
