Finally got my letter, I asked this in the ND thread, but what is a KIT ID#? Also that update is bogus, they are past December 6th...people here from December 6 got their letters already..
 
Mississauga only received my application on 16th Dec, but I am so tempted to call the call centre just for some news, maybe its still too early for me.
 
Well, my application was received December 6th and I haven't heard anything yet. Am terrified that it's coming back again (it came back once already and moved me from the October to December thread). Made sure we fixed the two things they noted but not being able to log into ecas worries me :(
 
Good morning, Jeff! My application was also received on December 6th, and I haven't heard anything either. No letter yet, and my eCAS has not been updated. And, according to the Processing Times: Family Sponsorship page they were working on December 6 applications on Wednesday.

My thinking is that December 6 was a Monday, so perhaps they had more applications come in that day than usual (ones that had piled up over the weekend), so maybe it's taking them longer than usual to get through it all.

Also, we haven't heard from anyone who submitted theirs after the 6th who has received approval.

I know that the waiting is hard, but hold on. :) I'm hoping for the best, and also wishing you the best!

It's tough, especially since anything wrong equates to a two month delay and I miss my wife :(

Jeff: Did u get a specific Immigr officer to return the complete app to?

i also should have been in the October thread. I also had to resubmit my application. I initially applied in Oct n it was rec'd on Oct 12.
But was sent a letter on Nov 8 w/ whole app back saying 1 form was missing signature. My husband's signature.
He filled out another form in india n sent it back to me in Canada but we had a postal delay. We didnt send the complete app back to Missi til Dec. It was rec'd on Dec. 14.
I called the call centre when i found out it was delivered to ask how long will it take to be approved. Same as ppl submiting their app for first time or will it be quicker. She said sometimes when u have a specific immigr officer to send it back to then it will be quicker. She couldnt tell me for sure.

Well, 2 wks later i called them bk and found out it was approve n sent to VO abroad (Jan 4).
Stay positive. quakingaspen makes great points. And im sure ur app was complete when u sent it back. Im sure u didnt have any other mistakes otherwise it would have been caught when they returned ur app back before.

I did yes.

Yeah I assumed I'd send in the two things I was missing and the officer would look at the missing pieces and do their thing but they toss you back to the start of the line as if it was the first time you sent it in again.
 
Hey Guys,

Good news from us...our sponsorship letter arrived this morning and I've been approved!!! :D The letter was dated Jan 6th...so just over one week from Canada to the UK. Our application is now off to the London visa office.

The waiting game begins again...
 
My eCas is active. Our application was officially received on December 9th and they sent our letter on the 11th of January. I feel pretty confident we've been approved, but I'll be glad to have the letter in our hands.

Yay, for everyone we are well on our way to having stage one complete!

I was just wondering how many of you in this thread applied outland, but staying in canada with spouses?
Or if you are a sponsor, is your spouse staying with you in canada?

I am. ;)

Hi guys. :) They finally updated my eCAS this morning as well. It says that a Decision has been made. They received my application on December 7, rather than December 6. They mailed my letter on January 11. So... hopefully it will get here today with some good news. :)

@ etoile & whitehorsejk - Congrats on your updates! I'll start working on getting this week's update posted. :)

@ maja22 - I'm waiting with my sponsor here in Ontario. I'm getting ready to apply to stay longer to make sure I'm all safe and legal. :)
 
Good news! Little slow as your application arrived only day later than mine, but maybe you had bigger file and it took time to review it ;)

Do you think VO (now when our applications are transfered there) will send all information to home address in home country or we still receive some news here in cadana?
I remember putting my sisters address in my home country as my home address, cause I wasn't sure if CIC would like that I live in canada and applied outland ???
