I'm in the same situation as you both... payed the fee months ago but was still asked to pay it. I also included the official receipt with my application. I was wondering what you both said in your email. I think I will also email, since you both got good news.

I included my information and my sponsor's information (i.e. Name, Citizenship, File number, client ID etc) and then explained them that I have already paid the full fee and said them the receipt number and also attached the scanned copy of the receipt.

I also called the call center in Canada and asked them to forward the receipt.

I did the same thing as palamr, sent it to both case specific and general inquiry also fax to Mississauga

Just a not my husband landed on May 24th, 2011. I hope things hurry up for the rest of you and the strike is resolved.

Congrats on having your husband land! Did you guys do anything special to celebrate? How is his transition coming?

Nothing too special. Just a nice dinner sans children. It felt like a race to the finish, since he had to leave for Switzerland on the 29th. lol FTR, if you are from a visa waiver country you will have no problem getting back into the country with your COPR and your passport, in my husband's experience.

It seems crazy that people are still waiting, especially Buffalo. I really hope things go quicker for everyone.

Buffalo emailed my lawyer on Friday and notified her that they tried to physically mail her something in regards to my application, but it was returned undeliverable. they listed the address they had on file, and asked her to correct it. HOWEVER - the address was perfect. it was just fine. ugh. maybe it had something to do with the Canada Post strike.. but they just gave us a generic error message.

also, I used to have an "F" file number from my AOR, and now they sent a new "B" one on the subject line.

I wonder how much time I lost (and will continue to lose because of this)... if I could somehow get a PPR by Wednesday, I won't have to file for any extensions.. (my work permit/temporary status here expires July 1)

Eletyl, it happened to us before. They had the correct address on file, but when they mailed us something they switched the house number numbers around, sending it to a nonexistent address.
Try emailing them, maybe they will reply with a PPR.
