Our application was received April 15, 2010, sponsorship approved and letter sent May 19, letter received May 25 and the file has been sent to Buffalo and we're waiting as well. E-cas shows the sponsorship approval but nothing else yet.

updates from me.....

just put in hte courier my package for all the docs requested by the embassy. tomorow it will reach the destination and then yet another phase of waiting will start... but hopefully it will not be very long... and soon i will be with my spouse in canada.... cant wait ....

just hope that things move fast and the visa comes in fast .... come visa come .... fast !!!

btw....

my parcel with all the requested docs.... has reached the canada embassy and now the next stage of waiting begins.... and hope its not a long wait for my PPR now......

e-Cas has updated for me. As of June 10, Beijing has started to process my wife's application.

Checked the website today. It's been a couple of weeks. It now shows "Medical Results Recieved".

My time line is as follows:
April 12, 2010: Applications recieved by CIC Mississiauga
May 17, 2010: Decision made, letter sent to sponsor
May 25, 2010: Recieved CIC letter "Sponsorship application approved May 17,2010, PR Application sent to Sao Paulo"
May 26, 2010: Permanent Resident Application started processing.
June 15, 2010: Medical Results Recieved.

Yes it shows on e-cas. You need to click on the "In Process" link under the Permanent Resident part of the application.

We received PPR on 09 July - sent my passport on 11th, but the online tracking system for Deutsche Post (German Post) says that it has been waiting for pick up by recipient since 12th July... I'm a bit concerned my passport has been lost in the postal system at the end of the application journey! Fingers crossed it turns up soon!

Here is our update:

Buffalo received our application and began processing it on June 11, 2010.

Our medicals have also been received.

I ended up contacting the embassy to see if they'd received it (still haven't received post office confirmation of delivery). They said they received it and, what's more, they issued the visa and sent it to me yesterday.

We're so excited! Berlin is unbelievably efficient.
