If you know the file number you can send, I guess. When I applied for Student visa back in 2004, I did just that after I was requested medical (so I knew the file number) and it worked very well. I dont know now though.

Anyways, you and me filed the application about same time, they asked ppr early in my case and are holding it for almost 2 months now. If it is going to be late, then it is going to be late whether you send your passport now or later. To quote the ppr "Passports are requested so that we can hold them on your file and issue your visa as soon as possible after all requirements have been met." If you are okay with them holding your passport, then send it.

thank you so much,reason of sending passport without PPR is to get visa stamped not for hold.

Can anybody share his/her landing experience or any info regarding this? Are we supposed to fill any forms B4 and B4A? If Yes, then where can i find these forms?

Hope u get ur pp soon and be done with ND...wanna know how long did it exactly take after pp submission for the interview call ??

i got a letter in mail at my india address. i was in canada at that time. the letter asked to pay the landing fee and submit my passport,so i came to india and sent my passport, the letter was received on may 24.
i submitted my passport on 3rd june,they informed me about the interview via email on the 27th june. interview was on 5th july and after that still waitin....

good luck yug.....i hope u dont wait as long as i did... but some tips while waiting,
do not call thm they will nt be anyhelp they will hang up without answering your questions.
dont bother faxing them and email. the average response time is 45-60 days.
so jus relax and enjoy this time with ur frnds and family. PP wil come when it has to come.

I got the PPR on 6th June, but couldnt come back due to an exam on the 30th june.. In the meantime, i gt another letter to submit my pp on 27th june.. Finally, came to India on 5th July and submitted the pp on 11 july.. It is 13th august today and nuthin abt interview or anythin else.. so shd i assume that interview has been waived???

Another thing, whr were ur meds done???

I dont think u shd mail the pp without the file no.. this would only make things more complicated.. Just wait or send a CSE (if u have nt already sent one)...

do u think it makes sense ???

ND sucks.. they hold on pp for months in some cases.. wat if someone needs to travel abroad?? these ppl have no regard for anyone's woes...

I am new bie... Here is the information about my spousal application

Visa Office: CHC, New Delhi
App. filed : March 8th, 2011
Sponsorship approved : April 14th, 2011
Application transfer to India : April 29th, 2011
Passport requested : May 11th , 2011
Passported dispatched : June 20th, 2011

No news yet what so ever for the application status...

I also did 1st CSE on July 8th , 2011, 2nd CSE on July 28th, 2011 and 3rd CSE through my consultant on July29th. No reply what so ever from those arrogant idiots...

I know it takes time to process the application but atleast these irresponsible guys in New Delhi CHC should have the courtesy to update us about the status of application.. They have been holding up my spouse's passport for almost 2 months without even informing even if they have really received the PP or not..

Anyway there is nothing that can be done.. just keeping your fingers crossed..

first yes my medical was in jan. and secondly i really wish tht ur interview is waived. but at this point we cannot assume anything.
new delhi is really slow since july....thts wht i heard. but good luck if u get one ...keep us posted

NO...just wait for the PPR, you SHOULD not send the PP without a PPR.
Doing so is only gonna delay your case...

I posted something on June 22 or 23 when my wife landed.
B4 is optional, if you don have it..just come to the airport with ur PP, Visa, COPR and an amount to declare to canadian immigaration..and all ur certificates
