I have not used the B4 form, the officer filled it for her..
Port of entry would be Pearson Airport if you land there...the officer can help you fill the remaining details..not sure which address you are asking about.

On the B4 form, which address do we need to put, my hubby's india's address or our address in Canada. and What do we put in the port of entry?

Use address in Canada and for port it's fine just to put Toronto or Pearson if he is landing there.

Hope you all enjoying the heat and not missing India in this regard ;D I am wondering if any one, who landed recently, received the PR card? I cant believe it..this all long waiting period ended so quickly just because of help and support of this forum and now when I look back I have no words to thank all so knowledgeable people I met on this forum without whom this frustrating and boring process would have been like hell...so thanks again and wish you the best always....Regards...V

Ordering CAIPS has no effect on your case in terms of delaying it. It is simply a record of your file. You will receive a copy of your entire file and see what notes have been placed with them from an IO. Depending on how the preocessing it going, you may not see much in ordering them. They are mainly useful for people who are going through interviews or through appeals because if they are kept right, you get an understanding as to why?? (you were refused or being called for the initial interview). In my case- there was nothing useful in mine at all. I knew my husband had passed all the medical clearences and the security was looking clean. Other than that, I got a copy of my application which I already had. It's a hard process but patience is key. They are probably waiting for clearences to come back.

its a personal choice. Ive heard mixed reviews of unannounced visits. They may help you further, they may just tell you it's proceeding as normal. Sorry cant be terribly helpful here.

Great to hear from you. Well to answer your question... my husband landed back in April and only received his card about 2 weeks ago.

I filed my app Apr 15
got my ppr July 7 (mailed June 15)

The reason I am really worried is coz some time back a member of this forum said that she gt her meds done in Toronto while on tourist visa but ND was nva able to locate her meds as they thot they wld come from India.. Its almost been 2 and a half months since ND has my file.. I ve nt rcvd any req for meds thou.. but I am hoping they are not repeating the same thing again.. And, ND is really slow ths days coz of student visas I guess.. I ll contact my rep tomm and hope he would be able to help..

anyways, wen did u file ur app?? and when did u receive PPR??

I remember there was some sort of goof up on ND's part regarding ur meds.. I wanted to ask, hw did u cm to knw abt it and once known, wat approach did u take??? I also gt my meds done in Canada and I suspect ND is upto some nonsense again!!!

Yes they did goof up on my medicals.. i came to know from my MP. This is what happened..
My husband called the MP's Ottawa office, and the person who answered was very helpful. He took all the details of our case, then called us back the next day saying that the immigration ppl havent recd my medicals, and also said they had apparently sent me some packet to do medicals in feb. I then told him that my medicals had been done in toronto itself(since i was there on a visit visa at the time) in november. We faxed the MP the section A form that was attached in th application, thats the proof that the medicals had been done. So he took tht info and called CIC Ottawa again. Then he told us to give him some proof that the medicals have been sent to CIC, so we got in touch with our DMP, he then faxed us a proof that said medicals have been sent on Dec 7th 2010. We sent tht to the MP. The medicals from toronto first go to Ottawa then are sent to New Delhi from there. So finally the MP found out that my medicals are lying in Delhi, but they never connected those medicals to my file, as they thought, me being a delhi resident, the meds would come from a Delhi doctor!! Finally, the MP called my husband and told him that the medicals had finally been attached to the file.

So since u also did ur medicals from Canada, I would suggest to follow up with these ppl to make sure they attach ur medicals to ur file!

Hi,
I'll be landing at Pearson on 12th Aug. Super excited!
Need some advice and guidance on the degree/diploma evaluation.. whats it all about? and do i need to do it from India or Canada?
Do i need to get all my degrees evaluated or just the highest one?
Would appreciate some pointers on this.
