Congrats.... now the real wait starts, keep an eye open on your eCAS once you see the Application Received under PR status update us with the dates, and I say you are looking at New Delhi getting your file by end of Next week... lets say by May 20 they should have your file..

DNT 2003 - I ask myself that very same question - where in the world is my PPR. I hope this isn't going to take forever..

My file too was transferred around to DEL around the same time frame as yours April 5.

Does this make a big diff? I've gotten my wife a new passport as well with my name on it, and plus added under the spousal area of the passport (last page)

I dont think it makes a difference at all... My passport has no changes, not even an endorsement to include spouse's name in the passport. I recently got a new Passport and had enough of hassles running around for it with the VFS without having to go back to the passport office to change things on it yet again. ND i suppose doesnt look at that if u look at my example...

Changing the wife's surname on a passport is just a personal preference...just make sure that surname on the PR Card/ Passport matches.
In my case i am not changing the Indian Passport and when she gets a Canadian Passport in 4 years that is when i will be making the change...
Until then i do not plan to make the change in the PR card but she will have my surname on her SIN, Licence, Health Card & Banking info ( this can be done with the original marriage certificate when you apply )

This again looks to be like a slow week..next weekend is a long weekend...i hope they move things fast in the next few days.

just curious....i had the same question...changing wife's last name in india is not big thing....u can have it changed here also

If she lands here with her old last name on the passport and visa, the PR card will be issued in that old last name. In that event, it is not advisable to get the last name changed in passport as that will create a lot of issues while travelling. Agree with fprince to wait until when his wife gets Canadian passport as then the PR card would be taken and it wouldn't matter anymore.
