Thanks for sharing the questions, as i once said in an old post.
Usually when they cross check over the phone or do an interview most of the questions they ask you is from the file you submitted...
if you can read Deepivi's questions, everything was in the file and are questions we need to answer in the forms.

They usually make sure that the applicant knows a lot about the sponsor, and they can not usually ask you questions out of the blue as they do not know the answer themselves..so just make sure you refresh your memory with your file...
as an applicant its always advisable to read your forms you submitted once a month or something so in case they call..you get 100/100 :P

Good suggestion, fprince. I generally keep asking my wife random questions here and there to make sure she is up-to-speed :)

It seems my story with my lawyer is going to be a protracted one. First I was thinking the PPR letter will come to Toronto from New Delhi (easily 15 to 20 days). But luckily that did not happen. But my lawyer due to some reason did not send the original marriage photographs. He took the photocopies of it and send it with the file. I can't find the rationale behind it. >:( >:( >:( >:( >:(

Today My wife got a letter from CHC-New Delhi for sending the original marriage and outing/post marriage photographs. They send the PPR letter on 15/APR/2011. Then I guess when they reviewed the file they could not see the original photographs. So they send the letter for original marriage photographs on 19/APR/2011.

My luck :( :( :( :( :(

WHAT!!! A lawyer did that :o This is even worse than what ND does...and all this after you paid that guy!!! You should not pay him or if you have already paid, ask for a refund.

I'm so glad I did not decide to get these morons to handle my case.

I once read in some thread abt someone who contact the immigration minister's office about his case and they replied and looked into it.
I am considering the same course of action in a few days about my crazy delay :P

I guess right now you gotta wait for a couple weeks to find out who the new immigration minister is going to be. But yeah, you should do this. Your case is going through ridiculous wait.

And i hope the same IO's marry a Canadian/PR in the future and go through the same hell ;D and laugh it off LOL

I doubt that buddy. If an IO was trying to get a PR, I'm sure he/she can get their buddies to fast track their case. Like everything else, it is always the aam janta (normal people) that suffers through these things.

@ Nylalisa, DNT, Vegan, Meateater and all others.. due to popular public demand here is the story again...

Long Long Ago (2010) in a far far kingdom know as Toronto lived fprince...after 30 years he found the love of his life and went to India and got married.
He came back in Nov 2010 and applied for the spousal sponsorship...
to know more about the love, romance, comedy, sentiments, emotion, frustration in his story...you can view it on the world wide web on this forum - pages 125- 523.

Will fprince bring his princess to his Toronto castle soon.............stay tuned...

and i still proudly say it..CHC ND..SCREW YOU !

Yah man! Ahahahahahahaha!!!! I do have a hate - on for boundaries....I mean borders....

So I sent a CSE and no response yet....
I called:
Mission Tel.: (91-11) 4178-2000
Immigration Tel.: (91-11) 4178-2050
and it is automated, stating that they do not do inquiries over the phone, you can only inquire by mail or fax.

So I guess I will fax an inquiry tomorrow...

But we need the letter for the interview, otherwise security won't let him in, and besides we don't even know the time of the interview or what he needs to bring.

@ fprince

Dont worry ...... Fprince Dulhaniya le jayenge....... the story will have a happy ending...... :P.......

it is just little bit dragging movie but in the end...............it will have bollywood ending.......

They normally don't inform after this step... someone have seen the status change to "In Process" and some see "Application Received" but when they click on to see the description, SOME ppl have the line added that says Interview date...

I just suggest you wait for the PPR to come to your doorstep, the post man / woman will bring it to our doors sooon!!!

For you I have a feeling expect a PPR by May 8 2011 :)

You can get an upgrade from PIO card to OCI, and it will only cost you so little...

OCI = Life Long, never expires (you can transfer to new passport / carry expired passport if you don't want to transfer)
PIO = only 15 Years Validity

Aha, I see. I got my PIO card years ago, right after I got my citizenship...so don't really have any experience with Visa for India.
