You sound exacly like me... its really hard to keep the mind where it should be because of all these things.. but we all gotta hang in tight.. and just support each others... no worries bro.. you are almost getting there.... we all will make it.. and there will be a day very soon... on which we get to announce.... "I got the PPR" or "Finally I got approved!!!!" and the last one "I got the Passport with the shiny sticker today"

Hang in there bro......we are all in the same boat. Some peoples journey through Delhi tends to be longer than others....for various reasons. Before I started this process, I would count down to the weekends and Stat holidays........now I just want them to pass quickly so that CHC-Delhi opens and begins issuing visas. Wake up in the morning, log in to e-cas and see the same old status....sigh

Yeah unfortunately, I can go any countries just not INDIA because I must have a two months GAP between each visit. Hence I applied for OCI today.

I will get my ORIGINALS back from CGI-Toronto in about 15 days...

Aha, I see. I got my PIO card years ago, right after I got my citizenship...so don't really have any experience with Visa for India.

Doesn't matter about the one entry part, you will be a PR once you land, then its matter of few days before you get the PR card... and you will be free to fly out and in ... last time I remembered thats how it works.

Maybe it is time I should go for it then, I've been waiting for this to happen, and I do make about 2 trips to US every year. I'm glad they've started doing this. Afterr I get my stuff back from the Indian Consulate I will go for it, they have my new passport.

Does it cost anything extra for this e-license? We can check everything and anything on the website, but I prefer feedbacks here Gives us all something to discuss. n read. and get our minds of ND, eCAS, CIC, CPC-M, etc...

The other option is to get the Nexus card. That is good for Air travel to US as well, you won't need to carry your Passport if you have the Nexus card. I don't know if the enhanced DL allows for it to be used at Airports or not. I don't have the Nexus card as I don't travel to the US as often, but have seriously considered applying for it seeing I can zip through the dedicated Nexus line way faster, either going to the US or coming back to Canada from ANYWHERE. It costs $50 for 5 years and that way you are not radio chip enabling your DL and transmitting your info everywhere you go on your day to day life. http://www.cbsa-asfc.gc.ca/prog/nexus/menu-eng.html

Alberta does not have that option of an e-DL and does not intend to introduce it either. But personally, I would never get my DL radio chip enabled if I had the choice.

I can't believe there are no direct YYZ <--> BOM flights. There's so much demand for it and it will save us so much time. There are direct flights to Iceland and Turkey from Toronto but not to Mumbai... ridiculous. Via Dubai/middle east is the next best option (in terms of time), but via europe is a waste of time... but what can we do!?

Prices for May 12th are better... but too bad our dates are earlier and there are no better prices. Anyway, my countdown has begun

I think ND deliberately tries to be random in their operations (i.e. applications transferred to ND at similar dates are not processed at the same time or the same way) so people cannot figure out their pattern or "way of doing things" and then try to fool the system (i.e. more fraud marriages).

Until I applied for the OCI I never read what it said on the Landing Paper IMM 1000, and it even lists the FLIGHT number we came in, and it was BA 093, from LHR to YYZ lands at 15:05 (3:05PM) Tuesday.

I became a PR on April 22 1997, so if we were to county weekly on this Tuesday (today) I complete 14 Years in Canada.

Happy 14 years to me....... wow time goes by so fast, and I still remember asking the air hostess "cocchoooo collaaa" I come from a village where at that time in 1997 there were no advancement, and I don't think any one during that time has even touched a empty coke can in our area / village. So my brother who speaks English says to me the air hostess is asking what you want to drink, so I go "choccchooo cooollla" and the air hostess gives me a cup, opens one can and gives me one extra can, 1 cup 2 cans (and the cans were "CUTE" the mini can, I never read, but I think they were the 150ML ones, but the coke was so strong that I never drank the second can. I felt like sharing this experience from 1997

Also after we got out off the airport there were soooooo many people receiving us, and after we got to the building I think many people would know what "1440 Lawrence Ave West" means, at that time anyone comes to canada would LAND / reside only in that building, it was like the mini India, we used to play cops-and-robbers on the stairwells, play cricket during the summer, there would be elders sitting outside during the evening time... the atmosphere was great. even today when I drive by I actually drive through the building just to go back in memory... and its very refreshing... Also when I got on the elevator the first thing I noticed "is this actually moving or frozen" couldn't tell if the elevator was taking us up or was just frozen...

Yesterday...,my husband got a call from NEW DELHI ....they basically did a phone interview....asked him alot of queztions....like when we met..our marriage...what job i do...how we co,mmunicate...who i live wit.. i hope he gets his PPR THEN STAMPED WITH A VISA

Phone interview...out of the blue...wow!!! ND sure does not let us rest easy. But I guess on the positive note, your case should be done fairly quickly now that ND is a) working on your file, and b) got all their questions answered. You should get your PPR soon.

I was thinking if it would be a good idea to call them to confirm the location and timing of the interview. You can explain to them that you have not received any letter from CHC-New Delhi but e-cas is showing the interview.

Crap, I did send a CSE earlier today but I didn't put URGENT on it. I attached his ppr letter to the CSE, not sure if that will help anything. I will try calling tonight as well.
I had a feeling that the letter would have the pertinent details, especially the time because it is not on ECAS, just the date.
I am having a bad week, sorry if I sound like I am complaining, just too many little things adding up. Thanks for listening.

No worries buddy, that is what we are here for - helping each other out and being a sound board when needed. We are all frustrated because of the wait and how ND functions and when other things in life does not go well either on top of that it it makes life real hard.

Applied for spousal sponsorship March 25, 2011, and hoping to hear from the CIC sometime soon about getting approved as a sponsor and the file being forwarded to Delhi. The wait is driving me insane!!! (checking ecas 5 to 6 times a day/emails about 50 times a day)

Hi All,

Good News, We just received PPR today. Passport, PCC and Landing fee was requested. Letter was dated April 15, 2011. Received on April 27,2011. As Per postman the letter reached to him on April 23,2011, but he will too lazy...lol...feel like killing him.

any suggestion what postal service should be used to send the passport.

Congrats, one step closer And what a lousy moron that postman of your is - 4 days to deliver a letter?

As for sending the passport, you can use Speed Post. That is a good service and you can actually get very detailed tracking of your package online. That's what we used to send my wife's passport earlier this week.
