sorry to hear about that. after reading your post, I am beginning to worry myself, as both of us have the same email the first time, as they said they have not received our file. This is crazy, 3 months and they have not received the file. I think that is bul****, something needs to happen. Can your lawyers call cpc-m, and find out what is going on, and get a confirmation that they did send it? I did that but all they told me was that they sent my app from cpc-m, and they do not have access to there systems as they are different system. that is crap, have 1 systems. why why why!!!!

Yeah, they are so inefficient. Our lawyer says they cannot ask anything (( Atleast u ve got the response that ur not authorized to get the info, so it means that ur file could be opened. But look at me.. (( they ve sent the same reply again.. if my file is not opened for almost 3months, I dono if its all worth to get the PR to join my husband.. after all, life is all about being with our life partner and being happy.. These def dont make us happy.. it feels like hell.

Same with me, every day my wife and I chat over blackberry messanger, as she does not have a computer, so it makes it even more difficult for us. I understand what you are going through. this process makes it difficult for us, and sometimes it can create problems/misunderstanding between the families/partner. Our case is pretty straight forward so dont understand why it is taking so long. Thanks to those people that scam weddings to bring people over, that is the main problem why either they take there time, or investigate your case in-depth. just because of them we all have to suffer , have you checked on the website today? for some reason it looks to be down. if you get a chance can you please check as well. thanks.

You are 100% right. It creates problems or misunderstandings between partners. Reason is cos of canadian embassy. its so horrible. website seems to be down for me too. Do you think my file is missed or something? dono why it dint reach for me alone And yeah, cos of those ppl who do illegal marriages, we ve become prey. ( though its a st forward marriage. life feels like hell.

dont worry sanyrog dont rely on emails of embassy as they are always not reliable may be they hav given u same answers again.so u need not worry i am sure u pppr is on its way....n u both r right these differences create problem between the couples which is not good

Well Guys !

I jus came to know abt my file Number only,however no PPR request letter so far,still wondering why the same have not sent so far also no status update on e-cas with the file number also!!!!!!

Mine is a complicated case since my wife have sponsered me and my daughter,My daughter was with her in Canada on TRP and since she has filed sponsership of both of us and visa post is ND so she has to make arrangement for passport of my daughter to be submit at ND office that is why she has come here with my daughter who is jus 4 yrs old.Now she is going back and she has already intimated ND abt the whole situation that she has come here that our daughter can't travel alone and it is illegal to send passport vis courier.

We both are extremely worried abt the whole process,although we have spent extra money on travelling still not sure abt the process!!!

Fourfold increase of Indians applying for Canada student visas

Canada, 15th December: The number of Indians applying for Canada student visas has quadrupled in the short span of last three years.

This has been revealed by the latest official statistics.

The trend among Indians to immigrate to Canada for studying there is growing very fast. And this is due to a significant change in the perspective of the Indians towards Canada as a destination for pursuing studies.

According to Canada diplomats, around 14,000 Canada student visas will be issued to Indian students in this year and the estimated number of Canada student visas to be issued in the year 2011 is likely to exceed 20,000.

This is certainly much more than 3,152 Canada student visas issued to Indians for studying in Canada.

Reasons for such significant increase in the number of Indians opting to move to Canada for studying in colleges or universities could be varied. One reason could be the efforts by the Canadian government to increase its relationship with India which is regarded as a highly promising market for foreign students.


Another reason for a high increase in the number of Indians applying for Canada visas could be attributed to the easier process for international students to become permanent residents of Canada and reforms in Canada immigration process resulting in a hike in the number of approvals for Canada visas in the recent past.


Australia has been losing its sheen as a destination to study abroad following a series of racial attacks on Indian students in the past year and a half. Also, the Australian immigration department had introduced new tougher visa rules making it costly and difficult for foreign students to get Australian visas.


And this led to a decline of around 80 percent in the number of international students seeking Australian visas.

The decline in the number of applications for Australian visas has resulted in a big blow to the international student market which has been providing annual revenue worth billions to the economy of Australia.

As per an estimate, around $25,000(Canadian dollars) is contributed to the Canadian economy by every single international student choosing to study in Canada.
