Congratulations!!!! can u tell us when was it dispatched???

I was on my way to chandigarh for some work when my mother received the passport..She told me that visa was issued on 24 Aug till Feb 2011 ..

I will let you know once I am at home!!!

I got the passport today!!! Visa stamped 24 Aug 2010 and received it today.


I am going on 8 September. I wil be going to Calgary then to Fort Mcmurray

I am really happy thats a lot guys for helping me a lot !

Guys,

With passport they have sent CPR ( Confirmation of Permanent Resident ) form and document of three page to read!!

In the document it is written that If any name or birth differs from the name or date of birth in a passport , please notify us.

My middle name is Singh on the passport and its correct on Visa stamp but on the CPR , last letter H is missing.

Should I contact them or let it be like this

u know wat...even my baby's COPR has a mistake, in the place where relationship of sponsor it is written as daughter instead of father( my hubby who is d sponsor is d father of my child not daughter)...but since der r no corrections in name,DOB,PP no. we thought of just leaving it...mayb v can correct it at d time of landing....

but since its ur name,i suggest u to just send an email to CHC and c wat dey say? i'm sure it wont matter n they wud ask u to proceed wid landin n correct it at d port of entry...ALL D BEST...

SINCE CHC ND IS RUSHING TO FINISH OF D FILES, THEY R MAKING SUCH ERRORS I GUESS....

Do u have any idea if we need to show some amount of money when we land in canada..
I remb in skilled worker category we need to show 10,000$ do we have to show the same in Spouse case as well???

No you don't have to show anything as a minimum financial requirement. Just have a list of the personal items that you are bringing with you or intend to bring at a later time as they are exempt from duty the first time you land as a PR!

You dont have to show anything....but i maybe wrong you are allowed to only carry 10K (not sure)...then they would ask u to declare what u got from india...good luck brother for your life ahead....and do keep us in your prayers!!!! ;D
