Usually, when they add "medicals received"..that means they're ready to issue the visa for you..reason being, when I applied to come to Canada as a Skilled Worker in 2010 (it was an 8 month process by the way, fast track) ecas just showed "application received" at first, and then when I sent my PP, after 2 weeks, it said Medicals received and a week after, decision made and I got my passport back within the week ecas changed to "decision made"

So I hope it's the same for you! Good luck!

@maple

My ecas was showing "medical results received " on the same day after my sponsorship was approved and file was transferred to ND :) :)

But I hope and wish for both of you ( gwalyat and nancy), it turns out to be a positive sign as maple said and you get your visa before Christmas.

You deserve iteven before our spouses get visa as you have been waiting since long.

Yes, you guys should be hearing the good news very soon; before the end of the year.. all the best to you both! looks like we should ship some red bulls to officers there to speed up the process :P

@rozine

There is a possibility that you too hear some news by end of this month. You are also approaching towards the end of your 6 months time period. :) :)

awww, thanks kuku!! but i think 6 months starts from the time file reaches ND, isn't it? well, i hope speedy process for everyone here :)

I believe that your 6 months starts from the day cpc M receives your application. This is what I have seen on this forum except some unfortunate applicants who have been waiting longer than that

Hello peeps,

Thought we newbies to Canada will find this blog useful and informative. Of course, we have our spouses to help us along, but a li'l homework on our part wouldnt hurt. ;D

I think 6 months starts once ND receives your file. Although, I have read on this forum similar interpretation of 6 months, I would go with 6 months based on CIC website.

rozine is right kuku its the time when our file reach at nd as but on web site it says 6 month start frm the date cpc m approve our file

guys thx for ur wishes really need this visa v soon,
praying tht we all hear good news now

Yes that is true..but usually what I have seen is most of people get their visa within 3-4 months after file gets transferred to ND.. So it makes total of 6 months time :)

I understand that many of our friends on this forum have been waiting longer than that. But if we see actual numbers than there are hardly 40-50 members joining on this ND thread which I think is not even 10% of all applicants applying through ND. So we can't judge the actual nature of working pattern of this office.. Like I mentioned in my post somwhere on this forum few days back,I personally know 8-10 applicants from India within last couple of months who got their visa within 5-6 months of total time starting from their application were received by cpc M.

Again I am not saying that you guys are wrong. You are correct but practically speaking time line is much better than shown on paper. There must be many who are waiting beyond this 6 month period that we don't know of.

So all we can do is pray and keep fingers crossed :D ;D

@yug

if you do not get your visa before 2nd week of Dec then you might have to re do it. The only reason is they issue a visa with the expiry date which is same as medical expiry. So in that case your visa expiry date will be very close after you receive your PP back. They might ask you to get your medical done again in that case.

I wish you get your PP before that though..

I think thats not a bad idea to go there personally and check what is going on. But I doubt if they will disclose any information.

Update guys!!

Just got an email from ND for PPR!! Yipee!!
