Can anyone tell me how ND requests for PPR? Thru speed post or normal post? Shud any1 be present in home to deliver the request? I guess, if its normal post, its not necessary to be at home.

Hi Sanyrog, PPR are sent by Registered Post (Yellow Envelope) and not necessarily one has to be at home. So....just relax..n u ll get it.

I can tell you Delhi is all spic-and-span, well lit, clean and beautiful, soo ready for CWG!!! I was out on Delhi roads last nite and felt proud to be a Delhiite!! Go India!!

sanyrog - I received my PPR by ordinary post. No signature required, so no need to be at home.

Applied03 - I second chinthu. After paying fee online, a receipt # was generated which we used to track app. status. Use sponsor's details - Name, Date/country of birth. App. reached Mississauga on May 13th and we saw eCAS update the first time on June 22nd using the above info! It was not available before that. My wife even received the sponsor approval letter the same day, June 22nd!

An Immigration File # will be generated and will be stated on your PPR letter. Use that in combination with your (Sponsored Applicant) details. Saw my details first time on July 13th - It stated - "We started processing your file on July 7th. Medical results have been received". Received PPR on June 21st! Good Luck.

No worries! I've read posts where receipt numbers started with letters C, L, R, etc.
Our IMM 5401 receipt starts with the letter R.

hey xyrus ... for me ecas still says "We started processing your file on Aug 20th" .. thats it ... nothing reg medical results uis show thr ... i am worried yaar .. raised the same few days bk bt somebody told tht for them also wecas shows same as mine ...

what to do now ??

I think your timeline is around 2-2.5 months. This is pretty quick. Is it normal timeline for ND Visa Office? I am going to apply around Dec 20th. Should I expect my wife's PR by the end of Feb or beginning of March? P.S.> I really like your posts. Very helpful. Thanks for sharing your experience in this stressful time. Best regards..Vish

Chinthu - It all depends how the Visa Officer updates your details online. Some add the medical info, some don't. So random!!! But no worries!

Vish - Thanks much. This forum is so informative and useful! I'm still waiting for the visa. No news yet! Good Luck with your application. Average total time is anywhere between 3-5 months! But no one knows, really! Every case is different. Make sure plenty of relationship proofs and all mandatory docs are enclosed. Also, make sure you've filled in and signed the app. forms accurately wherever necessary. Cases usually get delayed if an interview or any additional docs. are required. Like in my case, it has got delayed cz they needed my US Police Clearance Cert. But that's just my guess. Who knows what's cooking at the embassy @ my app. Hope its early for u!

That is true xyrus I must say i was impressed after all the negatives we been hearing especially from the western media , the opening certainly was refreshing to see live here in Vancouver hope the rest of it goes well also. Good luck to all awaiting some good news this week as well.

what to do?? nobody has any updates for the past cpl of wks ...

are the officials r busy with welcoming their country ppl for CWG ?? is this delay bkz of their engagement with CWG ??

donno what to say .. getting disappointed day by day ..

only god has to help us now .. he has to tell VO to give us visas soon ... lets all pray for a speedy visa arrival ..

hey Delhi folks,

I think the cwg might definitely have something to do with the slower processing over the past couple of weeks after all the Canadian high commission might have been busy looking after the athletes safety and all that stuff.... All of us waiters have been getting a bit anxious for sure specially with the new immigration rules as of 9/30 as well! Anyhow, let's keep doing what we have been doing (wait and pray) and hopefully it will turn out well for us.
For those that are concerned about was e-cas says, plz don't worry as things are totally random on there and depend on the VO. Also the timelines etal are governed by many different things for each case so we shouldn't get dissappointed if someone with a similar timeline moves ahead of us.... At least we all stick together here and support each other out!

FYI: Kal1313 and my timelines are exactly the same but we both are apparently still waiting for the ppr lol... Good luck to us
