Hi guys,
Where do we start after landing in Canada (SIN#, health card etc, bank)? Senior members who already landed please let me know how did you start after arriving to Canada. I would really appreciate your help. Regards..V

If this is Ontario
1.SIN ( only need your PR card / PP/ Landing papers )
2.Bank account, Drivers licence ( PP or PR card/Landing papers )

Last - Health card - You need 2 id's for health card..one is your passport/Landing papers/PR card ( easy ) and the 2nd one has to be a DL ( hard within 30 days, G1 is instant..but gotta study and write the test )or a Bank statement WITH address ( will need one month's statement )

Regardless, your coverage will ONLY start on day 90 after landing and living in ON...you can go there anytime before the 90 days, even if you go there on day 89 your health card will be active from the next day.

Hello all,

After spending 3 months preparing my application and 30+ calls to CIC Call Center, I'm happy to announce that we have got the passport back with visa today!

Here are our timelines:

Appl submitted to CPC-Mississauga: 1/31/2011
Sponsor Approval: 2/25/2011
Appl received at CHC-Delhi: 3/7/2011
PPR Date: 3/18/2011
eCAS changed to 'In Process': 3/30/2011
Visa Issue Date: 4/4/2011
eCAS changed to 'Decision Made': 4/9/2011


I will stay on this forum to help others. I wish everyone a speedy visa by ND

but i jus wanted to ensure if i got the correct address,
coz my husband didn't put the "7/8 shantipath, chanakyapuri" ................................does it make a diff...i hope not...wat do u think.

i dont think it will make difference...and mine also reached CHC as per speed post tracking..

Mar 21 + 50 days = May 10
Mar 21 + 90 days = June 19

Me, I'm on day 50 now in Delhi.
Feb 22 + 50 days = Apr 13
