Just apply for the new pp and don't have to tell. Mine was expiring in August 2011 and I needed a new one to come to India. I just went for it and havent mentioned a thing.

I didn't ask to go in the same room. He went alone when he was called, mentioned I was there and that was it. I was not called for an interview at all. It was very smooth and they asked him only questions on the application. She had it in front of her and she typed his answers as he spoke.

Yes it has been a week and she told me she will get back to me in 2 weeks.
The only call i got yesterday was from my dentist

got pretty excited when i saw the email from ecas tracker. but seem slike they only updated some old info in the sponsor's column.
Medical line is still missing

We received your application to sponsor XXXXXXXXXX on October 13, 2010.

We started processing your application on November 9, 2010.

We sent you a letter on November 9, 2010 about the decision on your application. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

We forwarded your application to the Ministère de l'Immigration et des Communautés culturelles (MICC) on November 9, 2010.

This is only for People who live in Quebec. They have an additional step to get a CSQ( Quebec Selection Certificate)
Quebec has its own way of selecting immigrants.
I have no idea why it was update dnow, we already got CSQ in Dec and it was also confirmed by ND that they have received a copy of our CSQ.
