Hi all,
I am new to the forum and is following your timelines from last couple of days. Really excited to see everyone here sailing in almost the same boats and helping eachone out.
I have a question if someone can help me please. My PPR came in today and i sent my FBI report and Passport in response to it. I need to send some additional documents like phone bills proofs and marriage snaps which i could not send at the time of application filing. Do you think since I have the file number now I can send it now. I think sending additional info should be fine with the visa offices. They are important to be sent otherwise i may be called for interview. Also any idea how long it takes for visa stamping if a person is called for interview. Does it delay the process too much? Please advice.

Good Luck to all!
Thanks

Hello!!

I would suggest (and if you feel the need) to add photos, and other proofs with ur FBI clearance and add a cover letter explaining that you could not provide this info and wanted to be proactive and are sending the them info now...as u can see, after PPR it could take anywhere from 2 weeks to over 2 mnths...good luck!

Thanks Minku.
I will be sending them the photographs with cover letter today. Unfortunately i have already sent the passport and FBI report yesterday and did not add the snaps to that package as that is what they asked in the letter. So will send the separate package today.Hope it doesn't harm.

Hello Friends,
My wife has received PPR from New Delhi (No additional documents were requested).
Is there any chances of interview after PPR from ND?

From what I have read so far there is always a possibility for an interview after sending the passport , New delhi requests passports as soon as they get your case and find all documents are there , that explains no additional document request . The request for passport is to expedite the application process so that after the background check is complete they can stamp the visa right away and send it to you , rather than sending another letter to request the passport and further delaying the process. The background check usually begins after the pp request has been made as far as I know . So they can still be called for an interview but maybe unlikely. Keep fingers crossed and best of luck.

Cheer up guys!! The mood is so dull and uninteresting here!! Hopefully some of us will be jumping with joy next week!!

Anyway, processing of my FBI clearance certificate is complete as my credit card got charged today, which I used as mode of payment!! So I should be receiving it in 2 weeks' time!! I applied on June 25th! So glad! I want to be prepared incase CHC asks for it! I wanted to send it with PP last month but didn't want any delays! Good Luck all!! Enjoy the monsoon!! Evening is so nice and cool! Cheers!

Good Morning Everyone!!

The waiting begins for today!!

Ok, so i broke down and emailed CHC ND and they replied back saying that my application is under "FINAL REVIEW"...i have pasted the email below for all...good luck to all!!!

Dear Sir/Madam,

This is in response to your recent email enquiry to the Immigration Section of the Canadian High Commission in New Delhi.

We acknowledge that our office has received ONE original passport for this application.

Due to the high volume of correspondence received by this office, it generally takes several days following receipt to process passports and place them on file. The file is then directed to the attention of a processing team, where it may take several more days for a final review to take place to ensure all requirements have met for visa issuance.

This file is currently pending final review by the responsible processing team and a decision by the officer. As soon as the review has taken place, our office will contact the applicants in case any further documentation or information is required. If the officer is satisfied all requirements have been met, visas will be issued, following which we will return the passports to the applicant by registered mail. Kindly note that it can take several days for registered mail to reach its destination.

Please be advised that all statutory requirements must be met before we can issue visas. We therefore cannot provide you with a precise date by which this application will be finalized and the passports returned. Your continued patience is appreciated. We can assure you that we give the highest processing priority to cases which are ready for visa issuance for which passports have been submitted. Until we contact the applicant, either to request additional documents or information or to return the passports, we will not be able to respond to further enquiries.

We trust that this information will be of assistance
