ya it is still the same with me miss spelled address .........

my wife had inquired with local MP last week.... she told you near to end of your timeline and so they may respond you any time in last week or first week ........so just playing the stupid unwilling waiting game

as per address is concern i think it wont matter as in previous mails they made such mistakes but the letter in that addressed correct so if I dont hear from them in this weeks will email them in the regards.....

can you please share your timelines
Yes, we are thinking of waiting for sometime as well before contacting them about address change.

My timeline is a little messed

My husband was a PR in canada and we met here, since our parents were not agreeing to the wedding he decided to go back to india when his PR expired.

so I applied first in april and in May I received the letter that he should apply in india from a travle document to see if his PR is still valid, he applied got called for interview but was rejected since he did not stay the minimum time required (2 years). Then I re-applied for him in July on the 5th, and I got my sponsorship approval within 15 days, and file was received at new delhi on july 22nd. Since then it says on application received, and in december beg we saw medicals received, but it still does not say in processing...

It depends on whose ecas your looking at. Eg on mine, ie the sponsor, it showed "we received your app...on may 6th." however under my wife's it said we received your application on may 18(the day it transferred to ND) and started processing may 30th.
Singhson. Mine bot ECAS login mentions the same date
No difference!

My timelines are - app. Filed to mississauga 9th may , reached delhi - 24th june , medicals received - almost one & half month ago , started processing 20th jan. , DM -29 jan . I received reply from ND for my query on 14 jan. That my file is awaiting initial review . I was so frustrated at that time bt things changed pretty quickly after that . Btw i have two year stay in canada on work permit .
Invincible 82: so your wife is in Canada? did you meet here? Iam asking because it was the same case with me and my husband

There are some missing links of information.
Sorry if I am very inquisitive.

I think why the PR expired was discussed some time back in this thread.
For some reason he didnt stay the obligatory 2 years in 5 years.

But you say "he applied/interviewed / rejected"
what did he apply for? FSW PR or spouse PR?

because in the next line you say "I re-applied"
what did you "re-apply?"

if for the first time your spouse applied/rejected and it was FSW
and now you are applying through Spouse PR then it is not "re-application"

but first time he applied for Spouse PR, interviewed and got rejected???
that is a point of concern.

Because rejecting spouse visa other than on the grounds of MOC and fraud is not expected and not reasonable.

Please clarify

I was thinking more travel history means more time for background checks. I don't know for sure if this is the case but this is what I got from my friends who have applied before and experienced this.
based on my observation i can say that you are right.
The more places I have gone to, The more people I might have punched in the face..
that is what CIC thinks about me! So more back ground checks

Hi Siva,

Ok here goes the full story:

he came here in 2005 with his dad and they both didn't like it so they left in a week, then he came in 2008 and stayed here for a year, he was working and studying at the same time (which is where we met)...since our parents were against inter-caste marriage, we decided that he must go back and talk to his parents while I do the same here. He went back to india July 2009, His PR epired, August 2010. We got married, Feb 2011 (yes it took 1.5 years for our parents to agree)...then I applied for him in april 2011, got a letter from CIC that he needs to apply in india to see if his PR is still valid. He applied for one-time travel document, but got rejected since he did not stay in canada for 2 years minimum for them to have extended his previous PR. So they asked him to re-apply as spousal sponsor, which I did...in July 2011.

This had wasted time. If you had applied for Spouse PR in April 2011 why did they ask you to apply in India? DOnt they know that PR becomes invalid automatically. Or is it possibble to "give back life" to an expired PR?
you should have just gone through the regular spouse PR process.
Or did you apply for something other than Spouse PR??

it seems to me that they had wasted time.

when did you get sponsor approval
Jan 27th Address disappeared for every body.
Hi siva
My hubby approved from ND on 18 jan 2012
your PPR is quick!

I have seen the PPR letter in real for the first time.
And I think that PPR stage is an "insignificant" stage

it is like if you go to hotel the server bring "two glasses of water"
whether you are going to eat there or not

The timeline of approval -> PPR
and PPR -> DM is so inconsistent
may be it is consistent only we in forum do not know about each persons case
maybe there is a pattern,

I applied for exactly that a spousal PR, and I have been asking myself the same question time and again...

what a waste of time, money and other resources this whole process has been. I mean you make a rule, you stick to it..if a PR expires it expires...and they knew he did not stay for 2 years, still they called him for an interview just to tell him that he did not stay there for two years..I mean really, we knew that all along!!!..ohhh have mercy god!!

PR does not become invalid automatically if he meets the criteria. So CHC ND would like to know if the person who is being sponsored by someone in Canada is still a Canadian PR or Indian citizen. because it makes a huge difference and reduces a burden on CHC ND if that person is still eligible to continue his PR status in which case sponsorship by someone is not required.
