Tomorrow is my last date of waiting for that snail mail to arrive. If it does not come by tomorrow, I will just send all the document without it.
I was hoping that the snail mail might provide little more details. I am sure, they would have sent by general post.

By the way, Did they send passport by speed post or general or some other means ?

They send all correspondence through Indian General Post.. which is S.L.O.W. Passport Request came in with general post...... it was sent out on Sept 28th and reached my place in Bhopal on the 12th of October... SLOWWWW! I am sure you are waitin to see if they need anything more....I understand. But i think they send passport with Visa with registered post. It still takes time but its registered meaning it wont just get lost. It has to be countersigned by the person who recieves it. But a general mail, the post man can easily tossoff in the front yard and leave. I pray you do fine.

@ Guptash... I second you on the post even my PPR letter was dated the 28thof September and I got it on the 5th of October....
Just waiting for the PP with the Visa.... Do they send it after changing the online status or before that....

It usually takes 10 to 15 days for the hard copy to reach the destination as it is general Post.
My PPR was dated 9th Aug but I got on 24 Aug in Mumbai. (Delhi to Mumbai ). Same way more documents Request letter was dated 1st Oct and Received it on 13th Oct.

Regarding PP, It comes by Indian Registered Post (Has to be delivered in Hand of the concerned Person). It took 7 days to reach Mumbai. PP package will include all the Photographs , ur PP with Visa and COPR letter.

i got an email abt additional docs.. related to post marriage pix, communication proof, financial asssisstance and passport copy.
waiting for that details to come in snail mail..

I also got the same request from them but in letter they mentioned that Original Request Letter must be returned with the other documents.
Thats why i asked u. So it better to wait, as they want original letter also. Be patient.\

Have they written anything regarding email copy or original letter to accompany with package?
I suggest to just w8 for 2 weeks from date of email.

They have mentioned that they have sent the letter. However they have not mentioned anything regarding sending that origianal letter with the documents
In PPR they did mention to accompany the original letter, so, I am guessing in this letter also .. they would ask to include the original letter..
Yeah.. Wait is the only option

We are blessed to have a rather fast process thus far...but now getting very anxious. Our application status online says 'in process' but the spelling of my husbands name is incorrect (as well as the order). Our lawyers and I have both sent emails to notify the consulate of the spelling error but they haven't replied or changed the spelling on the website...

Does anyone know who to contact for this? Do they change the status online often? Has anyone who has been approved seen that the application status online still says 'in process'?
How do we even know that they have his passport safely? (he did send it by registered mail and it confirmed the arrival)

I am probably just being impatient ...
I want to be with him for Christmas and the New Year I want him here with me in Canada ASAP

Our case is very straightforward; We met in person a couple of years ago, spent time getting to know one another, no previous marriages or children, good citizens, wonderful wedding with both families present (mostly so), lots of pictures and a very large pile of communication proof ... we are very genuine loving yoga practitioners/teachers We really miss each other :-\

It is getting very difficult and not only do i want my husband near me because I love him, but i also feel safe with him.... Now i am alone and feel kinda vulnerable...

In any case, we are lucky to have one another even if it does mean we have to wait.
