I am sorry to hear about your experience and the hard times that you have undergone and are currently also experiencing. Since our NOCs are same, can u pl. inform in which city u are in and tried for accountant's job? Also, did u try in other cities in Canada? I believe u have landed sometime in 2010, so has the market improved there somewhat... I hope u don't mind my questions since I am a potential immigrant and would like to get a clear picture of the situation from someone who is already there.
Also u have talked about racialism, in what way did u experience it? Can u inform whether u are in your 30's, 40's or other age and how big is your family?
We are v. frustrated here on being made to wait for the visa indefinitely, however it seems that the real difficulties will start after the visa (if and when we get it).
Anyway I wish u best of luck in getting a high-paying job and attaining the highest levels in ur career.

Could u clarify ur post of 2 years waiting? It seems that some VO's have already increased the proc. time to almost 2 yrs. (e.g. London is 20 months now), hence we shud get ready for a long wait, in my opinion...

(A) Very surprised to hear you use the word "racial discrimination". Can't still believe it.

(You might be thinking that they were giving preference to a Canadian in respect to jobs, that to Indians , right?)

If that is the case, you should probably visit YMCA. They can help new immigrants finding jobs and adapting themselves to Canada easily and also help them get the Canadian accent quickly. (I was in Canada for a few months, and so please take my advice)

(B) You said you never got an interview call, which is again surprising.

I have given the contact number of my friend in Toronto on my Resume on the job sites and he got calls from employers to speak to me.

There are lots of employers which were reported by The Star who always give priority to immigrants for social reasons.

according to their website, I should be getting some reply after 15 months from full dox submission- which is 24th september 2011. but i doubt if they would give me some reply till that time. BTW when do you expect medicals for yourself. because your file transfer date, doc submission date and 2nd AOR date is much ahead of mine. well, I sincerely hope that what you say falls true, but just to let u know that if that 2 yrs or more wait email was garbage, then how come that email had my initial dox submission date to CIO SYDNEY ( 24th March 2010 ), mentioned on it ?

I believe that the 2 yr or more time frame is approx. and the current 15 month time period for 80% apps at CHC ND (which is for past period and not future period) might keep on increasing also, since they know exactly how many MI-1 & other applications are pending with them. Also the '2 yr time frame along with 144000 apps' generic email might have been composed by CIC and send to all the CHC's to keep our hopes of getting visa quickly down. I believe a AIA sent by Canadian (like Mogboy's efforts) in this regard might help in unearthing the truth.
Anyway, the trend towards slower intake of immigrants is clearly visible in all VOs and we only pray that we get our visas in the near future.

agencies call your friend receive, as they want to make you register with them? When you will land then come up with personal experience?
