here we all eagerly await our medical forms, and one great personality amongst us, asked the ND VO to delay it.

hv advised him to go for it, even if u dont wanna pursue 'visa canada'.

Hi All,

Has anybody heard of Rejection after Medicals/RPRF/PPR being requested by CHC, New Delhi OR after submitting of these documents?

If a person has a FIR in his/her name in the local police, will that have any affect on the Security check?

Please share your views.

Thanks

An FIR will not make you inadmissible based on just this reason. If you have submitted a PCC, chances of the FIR coming in picture are very remote. As VO does not usually cross-check with the Police once a PCC is submitted. Their concern is more towards your potent threat if you migrate to Canada.
Secondly even if they come to know of the FIR, it depends on the magnitude of the accusation against you. A minor crime or a civil case is no problem. Mere accusation is not considered inadmissible unless convicted of that crime.

Also read this about overcoming inadmissibility:

and an FIR does not prove that u r a criminal, all reports/charges cud be false also. so..........
judge's/court's decision shd be considered.

Practically, once medicals r issue, one is 95% safe and should start packing, but there are 5% chances that he may get rejected due to a red flag in background, sec checks or meds.

After issuance of meds, entire time till visa issuance goes into sec check, a detailed on, so an FIR will certainly be reflected dn create issues....

how true is the above statement? 100% or there r few doubts.

there hv been 2 cases in early 2011, where applicants were called for interview, and denied visa...after the Medical forms were issued.

one case i remember, that ND VO said the couple that ur marriage is fake, and u hv been trained by ur consultant.

Thanks Anil_India and DestinationBC and others for your valuable inputs.

What I feel, background checks and security checks are illogical after request of RPRF, Medicals, especially Passport request. There are many applicants who work for MNC and have a high profile job and one day they are in India, the next in US, the next in African Jungle etc. If they do security checks after PPR, and the security agency takes time to give reports, then the applicant's job is in a toss. Visa officer will just say NO LOSS. :-)

VO should treat each individual with importance and should know the importance of holding ones passport.

Yes your wife should join you, however someone should be available at your Indian address to receive the medicals & passport request (if & when they come). You will then have to all come back to India as passports will need to be submitted. Although you can do your medicals anywhere in the world, but passports will be a problem if you stay out of India. Then somebody would have to come with all the passports & stay the entire duration in India till such time the passports are received back.

My suggestion is let your wife join you immediately as it is difficult to predict when your medicals will come given the current circumstances where they are stating to some applicants that it may take 2 years or more to process the files.
But do submit PCC for your stay in the African country where you currently reside (if more then 6 months) (for both yourself & wife) when you need to submit the passports (along with it, not before).
