hitesh,
u r also been waiting patiently for the last 9 months for ur medicals. Brother wish you luck. I think you will receive good news before the end of April . :)

Hi Friends,
I just want to say that there is no fix time line for MR or Visas.
So dont just wait so eagerly.
It all depends on your profession and experience I think. And yes, most importantly on NOC CODE.
My FTD is 30/03/10.
So 12 months passed.
Still nothing, just IP with RBVO inside.
NOC: 0111

So, its useless to count days or to predict chances of MR after Ecas goes into IP or etc etc etc.
My ecas is in IP since feb 1st week. so 60 days passed for that also.

So frens,
just chill. cheer aloud.

in my first case specific enquiry i got answer in flat three days

never got answer for second case specific inquiry.
you can guess why

OF all the discussions above and from the threads other than this one does not need to be Einstein to know

1) 11 months on the cic website is a tentative timeline which is rarely met

2) Processing is definitely based to FTD and has nothing to do with full docs submission date

3) May be There is system in place where a bunch of files are picked for a certain time pocket and handed over to a group of Visa officers
who evaluate the file
V Officer one may get FTD March 25 and Officer No 5 may get Bunch of files FTD April 10 which might explain the hap hazard In Process status

4) And The In process status comes a week after the file has been picked for evaluation

DBC

If NOC Priority than there were 200 NOC in 2007 which were reduced to 20 now

that way the 2007 applicants will be tossed out

I dont think they will give a step parent treatment to people who are not in the new List

Processing of files is not purely based on FTD. It is combination of FTD, Submission Date, quality of docs. NOC etc.
An applicant with FTD 1 April 2010 who submitted docs. on 15 April & another who submitted on 15 August will not be reviewed at the same time.
Sometimes a file requires only 1 BFD & sometimes files require 3-4 BFD's before a decision based on paper submission can be taken.
A File getting an In Process with date will definitely define the next step of the process, be it medicals or call for further docs. or interview.

Irrespective of the acknowledgment, you will get a reply if they deem your query fit enough for a reply. So don't worry for the acknowledgment.
I have many times not received an acknowledgment, however received a reply, sometimes in 3 days sometimes in 15 days, sometimes no reply !!

DBC,

Do you have any idea why the CIC site would quote processing time "based on a complete application package" instead of FTD

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/perm/skilled-fed.asp

Or does the phrase in quotes above mean "package received at CIC"?

The reason I am asking this is, I am a pre June 26 applicant, and my current status is RBVO, but eCAS does not show a FTD (it has never shown). There are the other three usual lines like initial app. date, 1st AOR and fulls docs recvd at NDVO. So I have no idea what my FTD is...

Appreciate your response.

PTV

CIC is in Nova scotia and it Receives the whole packet from the post june 2010 applicants not from us the pre june applicants as you must be aware

VO is working is based on FTB so says my consultant

sorry for the intrusion.

F T D - the file is transfered by Sydney office to concerned Visa office, within a week or two,
from the date of 1st AOR.

in ur case 1st AOR came on 04-10-10..... hence ur FTD 'could' be 12-10-10 approx.

btw, ur IELTS score is praiseworthy.

Hi,
I ordered CAIPS once before couple of months.
But it was all blank except the IELTS score.
May be they had not started processing.

Thank you Anil, I think that is a good guess, my FTD should be thereabout. But not sure why that is never shown in ECAS. Anyways what started as a sprint has turned into a marathon. Good luck to all!
