Thread 1111 and 0111 who have submitted docs in delhi CHC Only 2010

Hello,
Can somebody pl. instruct me how to obtain PCC in Gujarat? Yesterday I went to the PSK here and was told that my application for PCC would not even be accepted since my current address and address on PP are in different states. They are saying if you have stayed in Gujarat for the past 3-4 years, you should have changed your PP address to current address before applying for PCC. They further instructed me to go to RPO (the old office) on Monday and contact passport officer there with my problem.
I would like to know from fellow members/experts whether there is any requirement/rule for changing address in PP on changing one's residential address to another state. An urgent reply is requested since 60 days deadline is on our heads.

Hi can be 3 days for child below 16 yrs even not under tatkal as mentioned on site but u should apply tatkal for 16 or above due to police verification

My minor sons application was on dot...will get the pp within a week.

But elder son..had a little problem.It involved change of appearance. One has to apply in NOrmal for this. Tatkaal cannot be done.So applied in Normal and keeping fingers crossed that I receive it early.I have to submit my dox max by Jan 7, 2013.

Passport people informed me that if I get the police verification done quickly, then I can go to RKPuram Passport office and request them to please issue the PP early. Will take a chance.

If any of you guys have any suggestions so that I get my elder sons PP early, do post your views.

I applied for my daughter passport because of change in appearance in June and it was done in tatkal. Not sure if the rules changed recently.
