I have been saving the excel sheets of quarterly data release on data.gc.ca. Wanted to share the data which shows that the files of MI1 applicants are being worked upon. The MI1 inventory comparison of April 2011 Vs April 2012 is mentioned below. This is the data for the total number of applications for all CHC offices worldwide:

Looking at the data, one can make out that they are working on the MI 1 applications. Though the speed is very slow as compared to MI2 and MI3, but at least we can be hopeful that the cases would be cleared.
That would help pep up the optimistic attitude of all the forum members

I also received my GCMS 2 days back which is dated 23rd July'12. Certain things to quote here are: -
Under Group1: - It’s written : - NAME: - MI1-Documents Pending and TYPE:- PR- Temporary Processing
Under Activity: - Type: - Selection, Status : - PASSED and Type: - Verification, status: - Completed (I think it means all documents are verified and officer is satisfied).
Paper file: - LOCATION:- ECU-EBC (what does EBC stands for?)
Notes:- Create date: - 03rd May’12 (my IP date): - PA-PLS REQUEST THE FOLLOWING DOCS IMMEDIATELY:- UK PCC*1 (I lived in UK for 5.5 mnths), PENDING – CRIM PA……PLS REQUEST THE FOLLOWING WHEN INSTRUCTED TO DO SO: - PPT (CURRENT)*2, MEDS*2, RPRF*2….
TOTAL: 74 POINTS, PA HAS OBTAINED SUFFICIENT POINTS TO SATISFY ME THAT HE WILL BE ABLE TO BECOME ECONOMICALLY ESTABLISHED IN CANADA. I M SATISFIED THAT THE POINTS AWARDED TO APPLICANT ADEQUATELY REFLECT THE APPLICANT’S ABILITY TO SETTLE IN CANADA. PROOF OF FUNDS: OK.
Guys, though I am given MI1-Documents pending. But still above notes shows that all necessary verifications has been done and I am through.

seem u will need to immediately apply for UK PCC, as the request for the same is in pipeline, post which MR request would be send....

Congratulations akapoor3! It seems to be positive. As you have lived nearly 6 months in UK, you might have to get the UK PCC.

Although I am no expert, albeit, all I don't understand is what do they mean by "PR- Temporary Processing"

Means Provisional access ment can be revoked/ re accessed at any time
