I have to add my wife's name in application.

Besides Extended Family Information form, what other form do I need to update?

I think you will also have to add your "MARRIAGE CERTIFICATE" and preferably some of your wedding pics too, besides everything else as mentioned by mni

Hi Tarakrs,

This is from the letter that I got when I asked NDVO about the procedure for adding the new born to my application.

To advise us of a change to your family composition, please send us a signed letter or fax (you may also scan and email the letter) providing us with all required changes to your file. The following information must be included in the letter if we are to make the changes:

- full name,
- date of birth,
- file number [Letter followed by a nine-digit number],
- telephone number, including area code,
- fax number, including area code, and
- mailing address

As we require your signature on this information, please note that your current family composition has not been amended in our records.

a letter explaining how your family composition has changed and requesting that your child be added to your application -- Letter requesting to add your wife to your application.
- processing fee for the child (if accompanying you to Canada) -- In your case it would be processing fee for your wife.
- updated IMM0008 Generic Application Form and updated IMM5406 “Additional Family Information” form for yourself and your spouse to include added child. If the child is 18 years or older, an IMM0008, Schedule A and IMM5406 Additional Family Information Form -- In your case it would be updated forms for your wife.
- notarized copy of the child's birth certificate - -- In your case it would be birth certificate of your wife.
- copy of your child's valid passport(s) both valid and expired --- In your case it would be passport of your wife.
- four recent passport-size photographs of your child according to the specifications -- In your case it would be photographs of your wife.
- if you applied as a Skilled Worker - updated proof of funds for number of family members to now include added child -- In your case it would be updated POF to now include your wife.

Regards,
mni

I have such amazing staff. Its 7:30pm & almost all of my staff are working hard, many preparing for an exciting policy announcement tomorrow

Thanks a lot mni,

Just curious, will it make any difference in my processing time if I decide not to accompany my wife with me?

What forms will I have to skip in this case?
