Dear all,

Got my Caips report.
My PSDEC & SELDEC is 1.
BF'D is on 31st May 2012.

Points calculated are 69(my husband's adaptability points are not added yet)
Proof of settlement funds: satisfied

And requested to ECU to request the following
Updated proof of funds of 11,115 CAD
PPTs
MEDs
RPRF

This was their initial assessment

Now my spouse has been added, but the updated forms and document have not been checked.

When I applied 1 CAD = 46 INR(approx), now it is 51 INR(approx).
Should we buy Canadian dollars?
Market predictions state that Rupee can depriciate further...

You all are accountants.
What are your thoughts on this matter?

You need to show your COPR to the bank if you are buying cash or DD on your name....let others comment...

the positive news -

* 2 members have attained above 67 points and BFD is not beyond 'May', as per their CAIPS (KDSTTL and NANO)
* on page 333, an NDVO applicant got his Med/PP.
* almost all are in 'Ice cream mode', i.e. Real In Process.
* no one got 'decision made' till date
* few members got verification 'calls' and are in real In Process mode.

@ Nano- leave aside accounting skills, buy Gold, if you want to invest 'Rupees' for short term/long term.
your Husband is also a senior accountant, what s his take on this?

Neither me nor my husband is an accountant. Consider me crashing on this board.

Gold prices are sky high right now.
Will buy when prices go down by at least 500 rs.

Plus I believe in not putting all the eggs in one basket.

And gold is good investment if you have a year or so. Plus buying jewellery or coins have its disadvantages as labour charges are added.
Buying a biscuit is good though.

As per current deteriorating situation if any fellow applicant wanna apply caips ,he/she should apply it on or after his BFD(after 120 days of processing date) because it is sure if it is not DM till yet then the case is passed to ECU. So presently crucial thing to watch is ROLE OF ECU AND NEXT BFD .
