Friends, I just received a telephone call from Citizenship and Immigration Canada about my Freedom of Information request. He did not understand what 1111 and 0111 codes were and I explained they were occupational codes. "Of course," he said, it was not his area of expertise. I explained how I was involved and he expressed sympathy for you guys for what must be a frustrating wait. He was very pleasant and the request did not seem in the least unusual.
I'm told that my request seems simple enough and it will now go to the department that will handle it. He says he sees no problem in getting an answer very quickly, but they will call if there are any other issues.
Well at least the mail is getting through again!
