Those who want to fill CEC forms recently, pls use UPDATED form IMM0008

Hey guys,

Just a kind reminder that CIC updated the generic form IMM0008 in July. Those who want to fill and send the forms recently please use the latest version though there is only some small changes.

I just found out the day before I sent the application and filled the up-to-date form again and signed. There is a date on the left bottom corner indicating July 2013 but not April 2013.

What are the changes? I can not open form on phone.

I thing this is recent change on CIC site.
On the site it says July 2013 but there is no change in the form. Even if you open the form you will still see "IMM0008 (04-2013)E" in the form footer.

No it's a newer one.. You see IMM0008(07-2013)E with 'GENERIC APPLICATION FORM FOR CANADA' below which is not shown in the previous version. Also, they put '*'s on the questions that have to be filled and there is a slight change in page setup, like Question 15 in Dependents is used to at the bottom of Page 3 and now moved to Page 4. As far as I know there is no change in the content.

Yes, you are right. When i downloaded, it shows me latest changes. Earlier i think it was picking old one from cache.
But it seems recent change because i have submitted my application in July 2nd week & at that time it was April 2013 form.

What happens if we still use the old form to submit the application?

I dont think this will effect anything on the processing though I remember I have seen somewhere on CIC indicating 'please use the updated application package'. Why dont you use the new version if you haven't submitted your application yet, there is no harm, right?
