Those who Waiting EXPRESS ENTRY in Six Months and not finalized!!!!

It has been 8 months since my express entry application. My online profile stands as this:
Application/profile status Open
Review of eligibility Review in Progress
Review of medical results Passed
Review of submitted documents No additional documents are needed at this time
Scheduling an interview Not needed at this time
A background check is needed In Progress
Final decision Not Started
However, I received a letter from CIC stating:
The processing of your application for permanent residence in Canada is almost complete. You must
complete the following steps within 30 days in order for our office to issue your Confirmation of
Permanent Residence and, if applicable, your permanent residence visa. If for any reason you are not able
to meet this deadline, please inform us immediately by
with details concerning your situation.
I am not sure what to make of this as my online profile shpws that hardly anything has been done with my application. Has anyone had anything similar happen to them?

Brother, your AOR is in APRIL 2015? Or 2016? Thats long! However, you can order GCMS notes just to learn your eligibility been passed or not. Additionally, there won't be much info about security/BG in GCMS cause they are generally hidden out. But certainly in GCMS if you could notice a lot of correspondence being made in regards of Security, you can get a vibe of your application delay.unforgiven1127 said:
