I called CIC today, and from the agent's word: everything is fine, all the background check are done, waiting for the final decision, and the results should be very positive.
My visa office is Hong Kong.......I don't know how long I should wait at this point.

I called CIC a couple of times and got the similar answer with you.
My background check and security check are done, and my case is in final stage of review.
The only thing that i can do is waiting .

Guys i have a question , suppose i get my pr and my wife is in india n i m i canada , so for her to come in canada ,do i have to cross the border first ? Then she can come to canada or she can come anytime after she get her passport back

Principal applicant has to do the landing first, and the dependent can land same time or later.

Well, well, well, I just became a 10-month martyr in terms of waiting for PPR (if it ever comes). I just feel that it is important to record this occasion since this is a transition from single-digit waiting length to double-digit waiting length.

But there have been some developments. I was requested to do (new) medical examinations about 2 weeks ago, and my BC changed to In Progress about 1 week ago. Let's see!!!!!!

But for now, I need to savor the 'joy' of attaining martyrdom!!!!

I have completed 7 months and 12 days. Called CIC today and got reply that everything is passed on your file just Final decision is pending.
Our medicals are expiring this month. For this i emailed cic and they extended medicals for one year. I dont know how they are working just for approval they are taking soooooo long.

So today is my 12 month checkpoint. My profile got updated on Tuesday, with no change in it. I called IRCC on Thursday to see what was the update about. The officer said that my background check is done, and the only thing remaining is the final decision, which will be made any moment now. Waiting for them to make their decision.

Just received PPR message from Hong Kong in my CIC, no email. Totally 8 month and 20 days. signature is my time line.
