Just got information letter from CIC.
Letter was in regards to my passport which is expiring after one year.

They want me to submit soft copy of new passport.

I thought 6 month is the rule.

Guys, i'm outland applicant, so is it possible to ask for GCMS which will be sent to one of my friends in Canada. Next week will be my 9 months since AOR and so far I got a few ghost emails and the only update on my express entry account saying that my medical check was expired. I tried to ask for my status by using webform but the only feedback received were that my application is under processing, they will contact me when there's furher information requried and no maximum timeframe to process one application (3 times already).
I just want to know at which stage is my application
Please advise

Guys since this process is taking way longer than I expected, I am now wondering:

What if I get PPR let's say in september but decide to land in february, while my medicals expire on Dec 22?

Does anyone know the procedure? Is it going to take another 6-7 months to get the new medicals passed and do we need a new visa in the passport with new medical expiry date or smth?

As per previous threads and other explanations: if your Medicals expire in December, your deadline for landing will be December.

You won't have the possibility to land in February.

What you can do is: do a short landing prior to your visa expiration date (Medicals expiry date) and then come back later.

No worries, they will send you a request to redo the medical examination one month or two months before it expires. In some cases they will not send you the request, however, when you receive the PPR they will give you the option to do a new medical examination before submitting the passport. I have seen several cases like this.

Guys, by following this forum for quite a long time now, I have a feeling that, those who cross 6-7 months are almost certainly getting stuck and waiting for even more than a year. (I really hope i am wrong)

But are there people here who have received PPR between 7 and 12 months of waiting? For example, 8 months from aor??

I am getting afraid that if you cross 7 months with no ppr, you're stuck forever((((
