Dear Jitu,

Thanks for such a quick response (I didn't expect it as its 02:30AM in Ontario) and recommending "Information Systems Business Analyst Program (Postgraduate) which is interesting. Its one year diploma comprising of 3 semesters. Tuition fee shown is $10,757.00. Hope its for an international student. As far as PR is concerned, he will have one year PG work permit after completing this course. He can move to Saskatchewan immediately on course completion and will be eligible for SINP on completion of one year work experience there. Hope this assumption/plan is correct.

Best wishes to you for your PR case.

Cheers..

Yes you are correct it is midnight here ~
I don't think you need to move to saskatchewan, he can easily get job of BA and apply for LMO with help of his employer and can surely stay here. I dont have BA experience but still I have got lot of BA offers, this is in so much demand.

Take Care

Hi,
I have applied for International Business Management in Mohawk. As u r in Canada, can you suggest me is there any scope for international business management graduate certificate which is a one year course?

Hi Jitu,
Im planning to apply at GBC for their Information Systems Business Analyst Program but I read that it is only a part time program (correct me if Im wrong), so I opt for Marketing Management - Financial Services Program. Do you think it would be a course mismatch for me? Below is my profile:

Graduated BS Agricultural Economics last 2007
Working experience - 5 years in international bank - 1 year as business analyst
IELTS - 7.5

Momi said (from my prev thread) that it would be a course mismatch. I'm not qualified for master's since my GPA is only B- and most of the universities requires B+. And also Im from Philippines and they require for a post graduate diploma in order for me to apply for master's.

I would like to pursue a course related to business managment and system analysis but I cant find a suitable university considering my profile.

BTW, what is course are you taking? Is it in GBC?

Thanks! :D

I completed PG Marketing Management in Financial Services in 2010 from GBC. The course should eithr match to your previous studies or your work experience, you are working in Banking as Business Analyst so you can apply for same course in GBC easily and yes it is not a part time course.

I wold say if you like the course just go ahead and apply without hesitation

It is right choice but i would suggest you to consider GBC and Humber as well, please make sure that you get co-op also, because you have a nice experience and can join as Business Analyst during your co-op term which could give opportunity of permanent hiring after completion of co-op and hence help you in PR. Let me know abt your ITIL certifications and fees of seneca.

The score is OK, You can secure admission with this as cumulative score is 6.5pts. though yes otherwise speaking score shows that you have limitations to communicate properly, but during course and stay you will get enough time to enhance your speaking or I can say scores may be less because of your bad interview in this test.

hey jitu help in regard this
i got 6 bands in ielts and applying for lambton college for business management in sernia and then will
transfer in Toronto campus. what is your opinion abut job in this course and in this college or there is any

HI Everybody,

I found this thread very useful. JITU's comments are valuable.

I am planning to go for one year post graduate certificate program from George Brown College.

My plan is like this, after one my one year course try to find a job in Toronto itself then apply for PR there.

If that doesnt work out go to Sasakchwan/New found Land/Manitoba or any other provinces where getting a PR is easier.

What are your opinion on my plan.

Does any one have a strategy to achieve a plan loke this.

Awaiting your comments.

Hi,

If you can manage to complete your 1yr course successfully and one year job under NOC O,Aor B level tittle you can apply PR under new CEC class rules which will going to apply from Jan2013. So you can rule out the option to moving out toward secluded under developed provinces.

Wish you luck for your growth persuasions in professional career

Most colleges are accepting IELTS 6 band so I dont thinnk you need IELTS again.
Job opportunities in Toronto are good for business graduates and it will provide you an advantage if you have knowledge of system tools.
so try to learn and join samll courses in Ms-Excel (advance tools like V-look up, Macros, Pivot tables) and data base tools like SAS or SQL
This will help you secure a very nice starting positions

I would suggest Mohwak and Naigara college both have fair standings, and regarding studies I would say students from same class never reach similar heights so basically it depends on candidate profile and experience which has important role in candidate career sucess..
