Hi all,
I have two FSW applications in the same time, one old file (April 2007) under simplified process and one new file (June 2009) under new rules. The old file is still in its waiting period and has not started to process actively but new one is in review stage (Received by visa office). Yesterday I got an email just regarding my old file from visa office with following content:
“
Dear Sir/Madam,
This letter is in reference to your application for permanent residence in Canada, received in April 2007. Citizenship and Immigration Canada requests that you confirm whether or not you are still interested in immigrating to Canada. Please note that we are currently reviewing applications received at this mission in January 2004.
If you are no longer interested in immigrating to Canada and you wish to withdraw your application, please contact within 60 days to confirm your mailing information, and we will return your full application fee. Please note that your refund may take up to 3 months for processing
If we do not hear from you within this timeframe, we will assume your continued interest in immigrating to Canada, and your application and fees will be retained for future processing. No further offers to return your fee will be sent. When we are ready to actively begin processing your application we will contact you to request your updated information.
Thank you for your interest in Canada. “
I ask a question from those who have two applications in the same time or other seniors has anybody got similar email or do you have any comment because my new file is still in pending review and I don’t think its result will be clear during this timeframe (60 days). Note that I don’t know why they have sent this email because as you may know in simplified process the application fee will be refundable until 4 months before starting assessment actively that will be probably in 2012.
