It's not completely clear what you are asking.
What do you mean by "has not waited for the hearing"? Do you mean that you left Canada without waiting for the hearing to take place?
I am in Canada and did not leave! There is no time for the hearing. I applied for refugee protection in December 2019! Don't know how long is the waiting time now?
Some are still waiting from 2018. One year, especially during to covid, would still be considered fast processing if you haven't been considered a less complex case. Would anticipate you'll get a hearing in 12-24 months from when you submitted your application. Due to covid there haven't been as many asylum application but there have also been shut downs and delays in the asylum claims process. It's still unclear what affect this will have on applications.
Thank you for your reply, the pandemic has indeed changed us too much, we can only wait! Uncertain future, fear for the future! I hope the Canadian government can show kindness to keep me and us all! Are you also waiting for the refugee hearing? What is your timeline?
