Finally got an e-mail from CIC, but not exactly the one I was expecting:

"In order for Citizenship and Immigration Canada to process your application, we will need to review and verify your Education Credential Assessment (ECA) evaluation report by using Comparative Education Service's (CES) online service. To date, we have not been able to verify your report. CES has indicated that you did not use the approved CIC-Federal Skilled Worker Program application process on their website, and therefore they are unable to release any information to our office.
In order to allow CIC to process your application for permanent residence, please contact CES to request that your ECA report be made available to us. Please be advised that you may need to order a duplicate report and select CIC as a recipient of your CES evaluation report."

In previous posts few members had mentioned that this may be one of the reasons for delay, so in my case it really is. There is an online duplicate order option on WES site, but did not see it on University of Toronto site, they can only mail hard copy, but not directly to CIC. Tried to call CES several times, was forwarded to voicemail. No answer on my e-mail yet. If anyone knows how this can be done please advise.

Hi aspenite,
Though not what you were expecting, this is not bad news. I was looking through the CES website, and I think if you submit this form to them, it will allow CIC to get access to your ECA report.

"Release of Information" Form:

Good luck!!!!

Dear Pal,

I don't know what number actually are u trying for but i suggest you to dial on +16139444000 and for IVR choose option 1111130 the line will instantly directed toward an agent if he/she is free or you have to wait for few minutes for the agent to be on the line. When agent will come to the line just ask him that you want to know the current status of your FSW application which was submitted long ago (say to him its been 5-6 months) but you've heard no correspondence to date from CIO part thus you want to know the status. I think the agent will do something then. All the best pal.
Thanks...I will try as well. :)

Hi Guys,
Called the CIC for my PER mail and was informed that my application is under further verification, does that mean they are rechecking again my application? if so, what do you think they are looking for?

Just called the CIC, the lady agent told me the same thing. The only clarification that she said is that my application was not returned and wait for the response of the Nova Scotia office. I am working outside our country and have relative in Canada. ( maybe these are the reasons of the delay) Hope we receive our PER before April. Keep our faith and trust in God... soon he'll grant our prayers ;)

If you are claiming points for relatives it might take some time, as they will need to verify your relative status

Well the case for me is different as I have no relatives in Canada. I got 67 points and still no news for the PER/NER. I reviewed my application several times and everytime the score is 67.
The JD matches the NOC requirements. All supporting documents are there too. I really dont know why my application is taking so long to be closed.
Any ideas??

How about your ECA report? As I read from the forum discussions that some applicants had problems with the ECA report from WES/ICAS since CIC wanted to access the ECA result online...

All the best guys!!!!!!!!!! I pray the good news will reach everyone of you VERY SOON.

CHEERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello everyone,

I have good news and I have bad news. I'll start with the bad news. My application package was returned to me on March 25, 2015, with the CIC officer stating that my job duties do not match my selected NOC code. :(

Now for the good news; In the March 20, 2015 EE Draw I was issued an ITA!!!!!!! ;D ;D ;D So, I'm currently busy preparing my new application for submission, hopefully by April 3, 2015.

I am no longer in the old FSW race with you guys, but I will be around to offer any assistance I can.

I want to take this opportunity to THANK all the members of this anxiety filled club, who have made the waiting a little bit easier with your kind words of support and encouragement and also giving useful advice when needed. This is truly a testament of human kindness and selflessness.

GOD BLESS YOU ALL!!. I pray all your Canadian PR aspirations will be realized one day very very soon.

THANKS again from the bottom of my heart. :-*
